Like me preface this by saying you just gotta love New England weather. One day it's snow on the ground and freezing and the next it's 55 and sunny... sigh. Anyway!
Over the holiday's -jro- and I headed down to her family's place in glorious Norwalk CT. Besides stuffing ourselves with some awesome home-cooking we took the time Sunday, crappy raining freezing cold Sunday, to do some winter-prep and maintenance to her SV. I had broken the turn-signal off her SV a few months back transporting it in my truck, and thanks to one very nice NESRian (thx Oxx!!) we had a new one to install. So between bouts of shivering uncontrollably Jen got busy removing the plastics and getting that baby fixed while I changed the oil and added some Stabil to the tank. We finished up, parked it away in the corner of the garage, plugged the battery in, and expected never to see the SV out again until 2009....
Well that didn't last long... Monday we pack up and get ready to leave and realize it's 55 out and I'm waltzing around in a tshirt. Of course Jen has to go 'man we should go riding....' to which I stare dumbfounded as I have no bike and Jen ain't down with riding bitch.
Well "Dad" to the rescue! It's decided that I can ride lil sis's bike:
aaaand everyone goes scrambling off to find riding gear. Out comes Jen's old Bell helmet, "Mom's" riding jacket, the boots with the fur, "Dad's" Harley jacket, gloves, sweet open face helmet, Timbo's, damn we ready to ride!
See JRO's ready to rock
Yea.. badass all right.
Really thou. Nothing beats cruising around town on bikes and enjoying a nice motorcycle ride on December 1st! We headed down to the Norwalk beach to snap some pics of the ill rides and we took turns taking the CB around as blown rear shocks + speedbumps = much fun. After that we rode across town and got some bomb-ass Venezualian food. Booya that was tasty!
We then rode back (the long way), parked the bikes (again), and got ready to hunker down for 4 more months without riding
A good ride and pleasant surprise.

Jen likes it when it bounces
I think it fits her better....

...nice...
I had a bike just like that back in the day!!! Rode the piss out of if. I remember getting on 93 and drafting a tractor trailer up to 90mph or something. And, if I remember right, I was literaly wearing an old football helmet...
Wow...
If I'd a known I was going to live this long I'd have taken better care of myself..!
GREAT PICS!!!
