Here are some pics from the parking lot today. I am in the black leathers, my boss is in the white, red, and green leathers, my friend Kevin is in the Black and Red leathers, and my boss's son Philippe is in the red and white leathers. Beautiful weather for some mini sumo!
And the best sequence shots hahahaha:
And after he crashed haha.
And thanks to Glenn Coolbeth for taking the pics.

from the thread title, I thought this was going to be a lame thread
but great pics, and looks like a blast![]()
That looks like ridiculous fun. An xr 80? Should be able to put one of those setups together cheap, no?
Heh, nice.
I know Glen... good guy.

Very nice guy. Helped me out at the track alot.
It is an xr70 that is now 88cc. I would say that not including the purchase price that bike has 1,500 into it, but it could be built for cheaper. Ideally you would want a bigger bike like the 100 or the 125, as my knees hit the bars and with the gp shift on it I find it hard to get my boot under the shifter.

Put some MX bars on that 70, or at least some risers, world of difference. You still ride in a proper tuck, but now your hands aren't into your knees.
What did you swap in for a shift drum to get reverse shift? The only all down gearboxes I know of were Lifans... GP + 4 speed conversion?
I'll see what I can find for pics of Joey, the rider in Yellow/black you can just see in the lower right of my second pic. Small guy who started on a pocket bike, moved up to a Thumpstar 120 after hanging around me and my mini nuts at MIK for a bit. (And now Doc owns the bike...) He's now on a KLX 110, bars with a touch of rise, and does just fine. Unless Philippe is really tiny... I'm betting a set of Pro Taper KLX mini bend bars would be about perfect for him and more suitable for others who get to ride the wee bike.
Thumpstar in action.

Even did some head to head.![]()

That is the track we use up here. Rocky Ridge raceway. It is a Shifter Kart track. I got in touch with the owner and started running there last year. I try and do pitbike trackdays but I haven't gotten a whole lot of interest so far. Plan on trying again next year.
