yea, that can't be good for the motor
Look at his avatar, that's not his bike
Don't worry kenn, Lauren and I will be by soon to lend a hand, just don't forget the vodka.
"laying carpet" eh?
Sounds............kinky.
Go on...
another option is you remove the cat from the pipe it is in now, i did it on my bike, its really easy to do, take a screwdriver and a rubber mallet, use the screwdriver as a chisel and chisel away, took me about 20 minutes and i am cat free
Corey
the advantage is that come inspection time it looks stock and to quiet it down for the inspection just take some steel wool, put it in where the cat used to be and it will act as a cat for a few hours and then burn off by itself, just my 2-cents kenn, it worked well for me, i could probably help ya do it someday
Corey
Sorry my bad! Thats not my bike. I found someone on YouTube who has the Gladius w/o cat and muffler. My bike is nice and warm in the basement.
Below is my bike.

It's not about quieting it down, it's about the eventual emissions testing coming to us in the not-too-distant future.
You haven't been paying attention if you haven't noticed that many more motorcycles are being produced these days with catalytic converters and that trend will eventually cover all models in production....maybe even race bikes too.
Mark my words, when emissions testing becomes mandatory, there will be a TON of crying riders who thought it was a great idea to punch their cats out.
Just sayin....
Not saying "you" or "Kenn" or anyone, just saying who knows what Big Brother's plans are. One thing's for sure, there will be a day of mandatory emissions and punching the cat, IMHO, is generally not a good idea unless you don't mind paying upwards of $600 to correct "defective equipment".
