Today started out pretty normal - get up , breakfast, get the bike ready for riding..then my buddy called me ( whom the last time i spoke to had gotten hit by a mac truck on his monster - last year), and tells me its his birthday, he has his monster built up again and wants to go for a nice ride. SoT******** it is! As we pulled up to the road, it started to sprinkle. We took 1 lap really slow looking for debris and crap in the road and just took it easy. When we came back to the start, we crossed paths with an NESR member! Trouble and his buddy (sorry man, bad w/ names) had the same idea as I did today. So we took a few laps togeather - all the while the rain stopped, the sun came out and the road dried right up. - And crazily enough the only other NESR member from my neck of the woods (Kbroaderick) showed up right after we finished w/ T. It was pretty cool seeing the guys who i road with for the first time ever on thursday show up randomly at the same place an time I was.
Now, since i've been riding a goal of mine has been to drag a knee. Now I have never been to a track, and most of my riding has been group rides in and around VT/NY. A few months ago, Uncle Snake generously introduced me to the mecca road - T*****. While we were making laps, I asked Uncle Snake how I can get my knee down - among other things, one thing he told me to do stuck in my head -"drive your knee into the ground". I tried a few times that day, and came close but no cigar.
Well - today i finally did. I was in the ZONE and just drive my knee right down and it happened! Then again, and again, and again! It was fucking awesome! Though it kind of sucks because i don't have pants w/ sliders so i totally fucked up my A* textile pants.
Time for a suit w/ sliders!
Ground into the CE knee pad:
Both Legs , the Left leg took a bit more damage:
So - Where were you when you first dragged a knee?
Yes, I'm stupid. And a little Crazy.
glad you had fun.
i think im heading there Monday morning.
You totally wasted a good pair of pants.

Don't listen to the haters.
They're bitter because even if they did know where T******** road was, it'd still take 'em 3 hours to get there!

OMFG, that road kicks butt. Actually, several of those roads who shall not be named kick butt. I took 5 (two one way, three the other) passes through T*** road, had a blast, felt like the bike was damn near glued to the pavement. On one of the corners with the marble-sized gravel (which had been dispersed throughout the lane by someone driving over it), I adjusted my line mid-corner to zip through the middle of the gravel. I expected to feel the bike ask "Are you sure you want me to turn harder?" Instead, it just cut right to where I was looking and felt 100% locked in (just like a ski on edge on firm snow). Damn.
It was cool to run into you guys out there...funny thing is that I thought about posting before I headed out but figured that it wasn't too likely that anyone here would be heading in from the same direction (I went via Whitehall, came back via the bridge and App Gap).
It would have been even cooler if I didn't screw up that U-turn and get all sketchy in the sand on the other side of the road...that would have been incredibly embarrassing. I really need to go spend an hour or two practicing low-speed shit...it's just soo much more fun to work on the full-speed turning.
An awesome day of riding nonetheless, and now I need to go see about dinner (and all the other stuff I should have done earlier today).
get some dinner and grab some sleep. i'll see you there at 9am. okay. sounds good, yup. see ya then.

nice bread.
i haven't dragged yet, and probably won't on any public roads but I'm hoping to do the 10/2 LAPS trackday. I got the gear, and some pucks that are already worn. Now I just need to use them.
YEAAAA BOY!!!!!
DBConz, quit hating on VT bro
Proud of ya Mike...glad though that you were at least smart enough NOT to leave skin on T Rd!
We'll be out there tomorrow afternoon!
