Anyone need about $800 worth of computer and/or network consulting done to cover an ARC day followed by a TTD in late September?

Sounds like you're right. If you're dragging hard parts, you're doing something wrong with your body.
And if you're way the fuck off the bike and positive throttle and dragging hard parts, but think your tires have more lean in them, you need to relocate your hard parts (rearsets).
I just want to FIX you, Jim.![]()

I agree. My ass stays glued to my seat, which is fine for normal street riding, but doesn't work as well for taking a 90 degree corner at 70. I'm still learning though, I'm sure track days will help. I'm hoping I'll have a track bike at that point though so I don't have to use my baby![]()

I don't hang WAY off on the street except for a couple back roads
But there are small changes in body position you can make that are appropriate for the street that make a huge difference. Check out Total Control by Lee Parks or sport riding techniques by Nick Ienatsch.
Or I can show you sometime if we are on a ride...

are you guys talking about Taborton Road in NY?
Taborton Road, New York
Or is this secret road somewhere in VT?
No. On both questions.
And please don't try to get the name posted here. We're happy to show people we can trust (ie, established fellow NESRians, etc) where the road is, but putting it up on a public forum isn't very cool because any lurking squid can read it, not just people that can be trusted. The particular road in question is not far from a state police barracks, and one end of it is in a small town whose residents could ruin things for all of us if people piss them off.

It is not a discipline silly...just another point of view.
Jackie, you take that 'baby' of yours on the street where there are other drivers, two way traffic, sand, pot holes, dogs, kids, bicycles, cops and the road may not always be familiar. But somehow you think that taking that same 'baby' on the track is more dangerous or a too much to risk?
Every lap I do at the track, the road goes the same way, not once has a dog run out, or an old lady backed up, or someone not signal before making a left hand turn.
This is a very common perception about the risk that is inherently associated with putting your bike on the track, hell even I felt that way. Until I learned better.
Your 'baby' is safer on the track!!So, lets go...sign up for September and lets have some fun.
I think that's the first time I've ever heard someone come close to saying "I'm gonna go out there & crash on purpose".
There's a difference between riding TO your limit and riding OVER it. There's nothing in the motorcyclists' handbook that says you need to ride beyond your limit to have fun & learn how to ride better.... in fact you learn a lot more and progress faster by riding WITHIN your abilities, not beyond them.

Plus I bet you'll be rather intimidated your first time to the track... I was. (and still am)
