    Exhaust change question

As long as it was just a can that they put on then yea its usually just take that one off and put another one on. Most people want loud ones for various reasons, so they get noticed for egos or for safety is usually the first and second..

As far as on a budget goes, find out what year exhausts will fit your bike and find someone that wants to change out their stock one for an after market one and trade them.

    Exhaust change question

Theres a slight chance that the previous owner had the fuel injection re-mapped to fit the new exhaust. If you put a different can on the back it could possibly run a little spotty at certain throttle positions. Worst case is you would need to have the correct map flashed in for the can you put on. I would suggest looking on Ebay, craigslist, etc. for the cheapest options. If you want to go back to a stock can, check at the dealer to see if anyone is changing theirs out. Do a google search for the different brands - most have videos of them installed on a bike to let you hear the sound they make.

If the ends are secured by rivets then just drill em out and pack the pipe. I would have said repack but if its a D+D a suspect they don't pack them at all

Also thank you from me and every one else for getting rid of the D+D they WAAAAAAY to loud

    Exhaust change question

If it's a bolt on, I believe the flange pattern is the same 4-bolt type. I'm not positive about the hanger though. I personally have always liked the sound of Micron. If you search Ebay, you can find a nice slip on for that bike without breaking the bank.
