When you're in a corner and you panic, never chop the throttle! Stay on it.
There are 2 types of motorcycle riders...
Those that have crashed,
and those that are about to.....
Too old to rock and roll, too young to die.
Drink and ride is for eveyone and a law, not just a beginners tip. just pointing out.Originally posted by benSV
If you're going to that you are doomed to crash anyway but I can add these that I've seen:
- Don't smoke when you ride (Lots of Harley guys do this to look bad-ass.)
- Don't drink and ride @ the same time
- Don't take pictures and ride at the same time. (Yep seen this too)
- Don't take your dog on the bike with you. Talk about cruel.
"fuckit!"
i haven't seen "wear proper gears".

Wheelies over backwards = bad (learn to cover the rear brake, damnit!)
Large frost heaves in shaded corners = bad

Being a newbie, I'm the last person to be handing out advice, but as such, I found the following link interesting. Its the Hurt Report, which I'm sure is really old news to many of you, being how its from, like, 1981, but its a pretty thorough investigation into what are the causative factors in motorcycle accidents using data collected from the scene of actual motorcycle accidents.
