    It finally happened...

Glad your ok.. same thing happened to me like 3 weeks ago!! going round a bend and a car shot a big old rock right to my rear tire... almost high sided but able to save it.. Threw me off the road. Was able to get it down from 45-10.....then i slam'd right into the fence..

let me tell you.. it was not fun. I walked away with a sore neck from my head breakin a few pickets.

bike never went down got wedged in the fence... lots of scrapes and one gash from the impact but nuthin a lil’ compound and touch-up paint couldn’t fix.

    Poor 12R!
I had a similar experience a few nights ago. A good-sized wood block fell off of a pickup truck in front of me. I managed to miss it with the front tire, but the rear made contact on one edge, sending the bike up in the air 4-5". No fuss no muss.
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you get the bike back on the road! Our 12r domination ride is imminent!

    Ouch man,

Good luck getting back on the road. Glad to hear your ok. I hear everyone goes down at least once in their life, hopefully this is your once and thats all. I'd be happy with that. I don't know if your turn signals got broken in the crash, but I do have a set of flush mounts for I can just give you.

Over the past couple of weeks I haven't noticed any frost heaves that caused me concern. The sharp corner near the golf course by the Rt. 108N intersection (which is where I went down) is greasy from cages leaking oil. On commutes through that stretch before my crash, I noticed my back tire getting bent out of shape under moderate braking.

You don't have to worry about the rock I hit. I threw it in the woods!

My left directional popped out of the cowling and the connector released like it was supposed to. I threw it in my trunk and haven't looked it over yet.

I appreciate the offer of the flush mounts. I am definitely interested in them!

My ribs hurt like a mother fucker when I laugh. I probably bruised them pretty good. Definitely not broken otherwise I would be in pain while I'm sitting still!

How are you fairing after your get-off?
