Just purchased a Scorpion EXO-400 helmet online today. I've been wearing my wonderful cousin, lady flyin' low's, old HJC CL-15 since last summer. The HJC is an XS, and is too big (I can slide it around on my head).
I ordered an XS in the Scorpion, as well, because although the sizing chart appears to be the same as the HJC, I've heard that Scorpion's run a bit small.
I suppose I'll find out when it arrives...but anyone have an idea as to whether this thing will fit?
you do know the padding inside forms to your head rite, if she wore it and her head is bigger than yours it will feel loose on you, new helmet will most likely be a little tight at first until it breaks in. hope this helps even tho you asked for a women's opinion

Almost the same switch for me, HJC CL-12 (small) to a Scorpion EXO-400 (small). The CL-12 slid around on my head too, but that could just be from the lining having been smushed down after 3 years of wearing it year round... the EXO-400 was a little too tight at first, but became more comfortable after the lining broke in a bit. The cheek pads do kind of give you fish-face. It's still a little snug and I don't think I'd wear it on a several-day, 6+ hours per day trip (it's also pretty heavy), but it did fine on an overnighter and does really great as a day-to-day and for track days. Ventilation, visibility, and non-fogging are all way better than the CL was, visor is easy to swap out with a tinted one. Nice that the visor can stay in place open, closed, or a few positions in between including just cracked.
TL;DR Scorpion does run smaller than HJC. If the CL-15 was a little to big for you, EXO-400 should be just right if maybe a tad snug.
Not a girl but I have a girl's head since I wear XS in every helmet brand. I would recommend trying out some lid's that are geared for racing as they do have a much tighter fit (what they called "race" fit). I can tell you that my new XS Bell Start fits tighter than my HJC FS-15 XS; in addition race lid's usually will have more option in terms of padding.
I'm a medium in most brands but wear a large exo-750 and it fits great if that helps.
Sorry, I've been worry Shoei since I started riding.

I started with an HJC IS-15 *i believe*, and I picked up a Scorpion EXO-400 last year - both in a size Small. The Scorpion fits like a glove (doesn't move at all) while the HJC feels a little roomier. Overall, while the HJC has some features that I like, I prefer wearing the Scorpion in terms of fit.

I'm not a girl, but I ride like one.....thumbs up for Scorpion as a brand.
Started in a HJC youth L helmet (yup, my head's even smaller than yours.), went to an Arai XS, and replaced that last year with a Scorp XS. Love it and the fit. It's a bit more bobble-heady than the Arai (smaller shell on that one), and I had to have the liners "custom-made" (it's a blend of pad/liner sizes), but it is pretty great. First and foremost, a cheap helmet that fits your head properly will always be better than a pricey one that doesn't.

If you run into a wall with a helmet on, you still ran into a wall.
Just my 2 cents. I wore a HJC CL16 Medium and it fit great, new or worn in...I tried on a Medium Scorpion EXO400 and the thing was so tight in the rear of my head and forehead...with space on the sides.. The fit was horrific.
I always found the scorpion fitment to be sub-par. had the EXO-700 and the rear was horrendous. it pinched and was overall uncomfortable.
hopefully it fits you right.

Not a girl but I happen to have a Medium Scopion I got when buying a bike and my HJC in a medium, the Scopion seems to run a little smaller then the HJC, especially in the cheaks.
So based on what everyone has said...it's going to be a surprise. Lol.
It arrived at my house yesterday, I'm told. Currently amidst a 6+ hour drive from Chicago to Detroit. I can't wait to get home tomorrow to try it on!!
Don't worry, I'll try it on for you & let you know how it fits.

Finally got home and tried it on tonight. Fits like a glove! Def WAY tighter than the HJC but not uncomfortably so. It's consistently tight around my entire head so not too tight it any one area.
