GPR Steering Dampers? Interchangeable?

Hi all,
Recently upgraded the fork on my 99 R6 to an R1 front end. However because of the wider stature of it my matris damper doesn't work on it anymore. Found someone selling a gpr steering damper but I think it came off a different bike. Does anyone know if the GPR dampers are interchangeable or if its possible to just buy the connector piece that would fit my 99 R6? Or am i just going to have to pony up for a new one?

For the most part, all steering dampers themselves are universal fit, at least aftermarket ones. You just need to get a proper mounting kit. So you should be able to use your existing damper with a new kit, versus buying another unit just to have to also buy a mounting kit for it.

Now as for what kit to use, I'm not sure what fits that front end conversion. You may be better off contacting Matris to see if they have something, or are able to put something together for you.
