GPS purpose built for a Motorcycle

I'm really torn between Garmin 276C and the Zumo 450

The Zumos do have some nice features for motorcycle use, but IMO on a bike the #1 thing is the screen. Bottom line is, the 276 family has a larger, higher-resolution screen. I just think readability is paramount so the GPS isn't any more of a distraction than absolutely necessary so I want the largest, sharpest screen I can get. Just IMO, YMMV.

The proprietary cards is the biggest downside to the 276, but if you're not riding cross-country it's not a big deal. I recently got a 512mb card for mine and it fits all the detail maps for all the eastern states from ME to FL.

I have always known the x76 series had the best screens and the reason I haven't considered much else, I have been told you can fit about 25% of the country on a card

however cause I do some off roading too, I kinda want a card with topo loaded too

Verizon offers gps on some of their new phones. I've got it on mine. Its really great. Sure the screen is small. Not that big of a deal, its got earbuds. That way you don't have to take your eyes off the road. The service is only $10 a month. Use it as much as you want. I shut the service off in the winter and turn it on in the summer months.
