i got an icon field armor and i love it. i don't wear it much cause i prefer to stick with my jacket but sometimes some protection is better than none. i'd pick my icon over the one above just cause its cheaper and it looks better imo

Looks ok. How far down does it go? I have two.

I have a bohn that comes down and protects the tailbone which I like very much and I have a set from velocity gear that is a chest protector, gets the shoulders and arms but the back protector doesnt come down far enough for me.

+1 on the icon field armor back protector. I wear mine on commutes to work and whatnot... and when I'm squidding it in the city I'll wear it with gloves, a helmet, and maybe jeans. I figure if I get owned in the city, I'll be wanting my back and head to be protected if anything.

Yeah, I saw some pretty low priced new Knox protectors on eBay. So I'll keep looking.

+1 Haven't gotten anything over there, but I do see good deals. Only problem is when I find something my size its already sold.

    Re: Inexpensive Back Protector

OK, so I was patient and scored a Knox Ricochet protector for $101, shipped.
eBay Motors: ***New*** Teknic Knox Ricochet Spine Guard w/ Straps (item 300233248796 end time Jun-22-08 13:41:37 PDT)

That's about $50-$60 under the best price I found at all the online stores I looked at.

Now I have all the required gear for my track day.

little late but looks like I have the same one and like it a lot (don't think I paid that much though) - I don't go anywhere without it and my Knox chest protector.
