I saw a new Dodge Charger in Mass State Police colors. No light bar, but otherwise fully decaled in the blue / gray.
With the dark blue nose and dark blue tail it is hard to notice its a cruiser at first.
This was in Auburn near Motorsports International Friday AM.
Putting his hands in the air, like he just doesn't care.

sounds sexy. I saw a white charger on Route 4 (NH) by UNH the other day. I hurt my neck doing a double take on it.![]()
Bras cause cancer.
I have seen one same paint sceme on 495 South near Fraklin and Milford.
Sharp Statie car!
Rides: 13 Hyperstada, 09 SFV650, 97 CBR 900RR

RIP A.B. RIP BEET, I Ride in Leathers because I would rather sweat than Bleed...
You can't even speed anymore!!I've seen at our local police station and on the roads the following --> GMC Envoy (same mid-size SUV that we have), Ford Explorer's, a white Ford Five Hundred, one dark blue cargo van (on the smaller side of it), and the barracks near my home got 2 Jeep Cherokee.
None were marked cars. No lights on top. Very concealed lights in the back window, and a few of them didn't even have the state police license plate.![]()

+1 on the charger...I saw it on 290 westbound taking off and pulling over an accord
I saw a Mustang pulling someone on I-190 North years ago. I'm already accustomed to slowing down when I see Ford vehicles, or even Caprices, but Dodge now too huh?
An easy give away on Crown Vic's and even the Mustang was the larger rear anti-sway bar. Did ya pick up anything on the Charger?
I wonder if it will be a replacement for the Intrepids.
Seems MSP is doing away with the full light bar for lots of their new rides...seems too much of a giveaway maybe?
And the explorer/expedition , but the envoy looks fairly stock unfortunately.Originally posted by FastJohnny

i've yet to see a new Yukon or whatever...but I did see a durango on a detail with blues, not sure if it was officer owned or unmarked.
Brookfield PD has one too fully marked though. I saw it with a car pulled over on rt9 yesterday.

The town over from me, Hull, has a black/white one but it is not a statie. I can't recall if the lights were on top or hidden. Probably doesn't matter since it is clear as day that it is a police car.
actually i bet it has to do with gas mileageOriginally posted by somestrangeguy

I seen a MSP Dodge Charger with someone pulled over on Route 2 at the 495 Interchange... I have also seen before state police unmarked cars with different states plates on the front if you know what i mean.. In other words i seen a Mass State Police car with a regular Ohio plate on the front and the state police plate on the back.. how sneaky..![]()
today's sunday boston globe has an article on them in the automotive section...apparently MA state has 5 chargers...
local dealership up here has just released their latest order for 25 Chargers for the NH State police. they have front and rear interior LED roofline lights for better concealed effect. as well as they are all Black with no markings on them..... this is 1 of 4 dealer orders to be released for over 100 total this year....
it is time to ride B!TCHEZ !
Thanks for the post...I've been wondering the same thing.
I saw a Charger Statie cruiser in Westford yesterday, and a local one in Lunenberg two days before.

watch out for any american made vehical! they are sneeky now, i was on the pike last summer and seen an intrepid coming up quik that looked fishy so i moved to the middle lane and sure enough a statie. also seen a f-series pick up with some one pulled over. and as for the mustang (green) watch out he trys to bait other cars by trying to make um race, usually on the pike fri+sat nights. my point is they got what ever you could think of so watch out and get a v1 its the only way to go. and thanks for the heads-up havent seen the chargers yet

I've seen the chargers, and a F-series, full size dodge and chevy, and a mini van, I think it was a dodge on the 93 between Boston and Quincy in the past month. One of the F-series they have has a cap on the back and I have seen one with out. A guy I work with saw a fullsize with the lock boxes like a DPW truck insted of a bed farther down Rt. 3. Most of them have been unmarked with regular plates, watch out they are doing their best to make it hard to see. Bastards!
Yup, have seen a mini-van too, and a pick-up truck with regular "Leer" cover box....wtf....who would think a mini van would come after you??

Most of the Dark Tinted trucks and SUV's are DOT cops.. they are much worse then regular state cops.. same powers, plus twice the attitude.. errr they can be anyways if they want to..
Saw a write up in Automobile mag about the Charger police car. Supposedly it is plenty fast with a real top end of aroud 150. They look pretty bad ass too.
RI has a variety of statie cars. The unmarked ones I have seen - a Camaro, Ford Contour looking thing, and a green Explorer. I learned the hard way about the Explorer. One day I was driving home from work, maybe going 10-15 over, and in my rear view I see this big ass green Explorer hauling ass. I was like oh crap, here's another psycho soccer mom probably blabbing on the phone running late to pick up the rug rats. I immedeately thought I better get out of the way of this flake. So I cut over a couple of lanes and then took my exit. Look up behind me, and bingo, now the Explorer is RIGHT BEHIND ME, almost up my ass so all i can see is grille just about. I don't know what the frig is going on, so I give it some gas to get away from this nutjob (I was driving a Boxster S that had some balls and handled great). So I sped up, was doing my thing, figuring I was now safe away from some crazy driver on the main road, and again I see this Explorer passing cars and racing to get behind me. The Explorer guy catches up, flips down his sun visor to show some flashing lights and pulls me over. I'm like oh shit, wtf? Basically, I was driving briskly to avoid what appeared to be an intoxicated driver or some crazy road rager flipping out because I was in a red Porsche convertible - only to find out that it was a cop all along. Soo not cool.
Oh they are badass alright. I drove one all the way to Quebec a few months ago...PLENTY fast...and the car get a lot of looks from people...lol Mine was all black. I loved driving that thing!Originally posted by GonePhishing

I am not sure about what new cars they are definately using but I know they just graduated over 120 new rookies and they will be out in full force. Which means little to no chance for a break if you do get pulled over.
I guess you gotta spend some money to make a whole lot more.
We're paying for these new rides, folks! One way or another!
Just saw a new Vet on my way to work this morning, blue and grey, low profile lights on the roof. Just makes me wonder what other cars the state has purchased with our money.
