The advice I give people going to their first closing. Take a bottle of champane (sp), and stop by the ATM and take out $100. When the final papers are signed pop the cork, and use the money to go out to lunch or dinner because it will be the last money you see for a LONG time.

Nikon, I felt the same way, writing the check for the deposit was the most intimidating feeling I've ever had I was totally scared! As long as you consider every cost down to utilities and taxes and you can afford it, go for it. At the closing you'll still be scared to death, probably have almost no interest in the house you've picked. Then you walk through the door the first time, when it's yours, and it's a great feeling of pride, relief, and excitement. That's when you start to enjoy it. Everything before that sucks, but it's worth it! I'll bring the steak tips for the 1st cookout!

Guy I work with picked up that bike at end of 2004 for $9500 out the door, I paid $10,800 for mine in 2002!!!!!!!! Jose, if your out there, you still SUCK!
