I am convinced my bike is missing an integral part of the gauge cluster wire harness but have not been able to confirm it up to this point.
If anyone would be so kind as to post a pic or two of where the cluster plugs into and what the harness looks like, I'd be very grateful.
The only empty plug I have is a rectangular grey plug and I'm not sure if Honda produced a jumper harness of sorts just to get power from that grey plug up to the gauges.

but seriously, your cluster is fine... you really ARE doing 82.7 MPH down the front straight.
Bergs, I have the wiring diagram in front of me and it looks like there are 2 harnesses going to the cluster. A total of 16 signals. I'll get a picture tomorrow.

I am guessing Front Sub Harness connector. 12 pin right?

It helps when half the wire harness isn't tied back and up against the frame.

Yeah.
I was going thru my spares and noticed that the mystery plug is for the horn/turn signal pod so I started digging deeper and found that the rest of the harness was zip-tied to the frame underneath the left intake.....something I did a long time ago.
Whoops!!
