Looking at the Fieldshier Sport2 pant and the Carbon race jacket.
The jacket has perforations in the front (zip-in/out liner too) and the pants come in perf and solid.
My questions are:
1. Your opinion on this get-up, quality,comfort,etc...?
2. This will be my first and only pant, would it be best to get the
perf. or the solid?
3. How is this stuff when you hit shitty weather ?

If they're gonna be only pant, I'd go WITHOUT the perfs. Wait and get the perfs for your second pair. The 'regular' pants will be much more versatile in cold and/or rainy weather. They won't protect you like rain gear will, but they aren't all bad for semi short rain stints...
It should go without saying that you should peruse New Enough Leathers, and keep an eye on their 'closeout' section. I just got a Teknic 1-piece Chicane (fully perfed front, semi-perfed back, perfed upper leg) for $360, delivered...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
i got the fieldsheer perforated jacket... fucking sweet. never too cold either.
i was looking at getting the perf Sport 2 pants to mate to it cause i thought the solid ones might be too hot.
edit/disclaimer... i should have noted, i am part polar bear so the heat really bugs me.

I to have the Fieldsheer jacket. It will hold up well against the pavemnt, especially at 70 mph. It also has a zip out lining, for the colder weather.

Go with the solid for the pant. I have Vanson solid pant with pro-perf jacket. Ridden in 90 plus weather with full suit on and been comfortable. Only time I would get hot was when stuck in traffic.
go with the solid pants and the perf jacket. That is the exact setup I have and its great from everything from 95+ degree days to days like today when it was cold as fuck in the AM.

But when we ride very fast motorcycles, we ride with immaculate sanity. We might abuse a substance here and there, but only when it's right. The final measure of any rider's skill is the inverse ratio of his preferred Traveling Speed to the number of bad scars on his body. It is that simple: If you ride fast and crash, you are a bad rider. If you go slow and crash, you are a bad rider. And if you are a bad rider, you should not ride motorcycles.

Thanks for all of the input. I will be buying leathers over the winter and this is the getup I am shooting for. This setup is just one of the sets I am looking at this moment. We will have to see what New Enough and Brockton Cycles will have on Sale this winter.
Looks like I will be going for the solid pants for sure!
Thanks a ton for all your input, the more the better.
