squid couldnt take an offramp at 186 either ...lawl

    Bad form on the journalist:
"At first, the buzzing of an approaching high-speed motorcycle sounds like a gnat near your ear, then it suddenly becomes loud and threatening. Segui remembers a woman who heard that noise and jerked her steering wheel in the opposite direction, jumping a curb and crashing."

I mean seriously? How is a motorcycle supposed to sound when it goes by you? Albiet I am almost positive hes talking about some douche flying by you at 140 but way to vague for my liking.

Yea that part had me loling. If you seriously jump a curb because of that...you should have your license taken away...cause you have no place on a road.

    "Racing Bikes"

Not one word of trying to get people to a track either... Sad.

Florida is the hardest on bikes, and makes the biggest deal of everything in order to help substantiate the crazy fines and laws they have.

If the helmet law (lack of) is killing so many more people, they should be thankful since they hate bikes so much down there. Thinning of the herd! Less chrome on the road! hah.

Nah, you'll change the whole perspective. It'll stop being 180+ (your tard won't do that) and become "damn dirt bikes jumping curbs running from cops".

Re: Not the Kind of Exposure Sport Bikes Need...

Maybe they should do a story on cars as well. 95 between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami is like a scene out of Fast & Furious. Some prick in an Acura kept toying with us, so we would duck into traffic and get away from him, only to have him find us again.

The final time he found us, we were cruising at around 120, no traffic with 5 lanes of highway. My buddy was behind me in the lane to the right; I glanced over my right shoulder to make sure he was not along side me and I merged. Just as I crossed into the lane, that bastard in the acura went by doing a good 150 or more. Scared the hell out of me.

My buddy said that the kid in the acura was looking at him when he passed, not at his lane. Had I not merged he would have ran me down.

We found his car outside a club and waited till about 2:00 before heading home for the night. Wish I had set the alarm off so he would come out to check on it.

Funny how the youngest person in this thread automatically tries to shift the blame onto the driver w/o knowing a single fact about the accident beyond what's in the article (vague at best)

    Just sayin....

Funny how the moderator stereotypes based on age.

Hey...the reporter lumped racing bikes into one...along with their riders. Can't I make the same case with drivers?

You're just saying that cuz I'm old.

    And I didn't stereotype, I made a factual observation

they are making assumptions based on the facts given. I believe the first thing Chris said was that the statement was vague and based on the information contained within it there is no other conclusion that can be reached other than the exhaust startled the woman and she crashed. Based on that i would say it is only logical to shift the blame to the driver upon initial analysis of what the autor gave us to work with. I blame Time magazine for that viewpoint more than either of our "young" members.

My point is, we know nothing about the incident mentioned, who the hell is anyone here to say whether or not that driver belongs on the road?

As if rules-averse Florida didn't already have some of the nation's most dangerous drivers...
Anyone care to venture a guess as to why this is?
