I went back to stock exhaust as well, mainly because I got a ticket for the after market one, but I actually like the bike better now that I can hear myself think on it.

I know, all the people we rode with either stopped or got to squidish for you too right around the same time it happened for me a couple years ago.

Nice! Yea I have not caught onto the adventure/sport touring bikes. Who knows that might change when I get to the "Viagra" age group =) I dunno why but I'm huge on Naked Streetfigher style bikes now and becoming less and less interested in the super sports for street use.

I only rode with you and that group a handful of times and for the most part it was ok, wasn't that bad when I was present. Before I met you guys, I used to go on group rides all the time when I first joined this forum 6+ years ago. Everytime I went on one, someone got hurt, got a ticket, got lost, broke down, got pissed off at someone else's riding style, etc. Got old real fast.

I have to say, I feel sorry for the guy, despite his being substantially less than an upstanding citizen. I wish this never happened and I bet there are a whole lot of others that feel the same. It just seems so pointless - riding a bike is suspposed to be fun.

The bikers were in town for an event called Hollywood Stuntz, where motorcyclists drive around Manhattan doing tricks, according to officials.

Not sure how I feel about this being called "an event". Nor is "doing tricks" a completely accurate description of what these meatheads do.

As we are on a Motorcycle Forum, I agree with Garandman in that I wish that this event had never happened. I too, feel badly for the guy, but pity will be a rare commodity for him and his family. I easily sympathize with the driver of the RR and his family. The evidence so far makes it appear that they were randomly picked out, targeted, and victimized. That could have happened to any one of us. These renegade rides, with the sole intent of intimidating and terrorizing the general public, must be put to a stop. Events like these have a strong negative affect all of us in the Motorcycling community.
I am surprised that there has been no mention of the phantom "Organizers" of this event so far... Surely *somebody* pulled this event together...

I've seen in comments and forum posts that this group targets whites and Asians in a manner similar to what we saw on the video....boxing in, slowing and/ brake checking or having a vehicle already stopped and rolling backwards into it followed by a roadside robbery/ beatdown.

Yes, they are posts and comments and nothing official but I'd have to say I, for one, have a hard time not believing there is some truth there
