Hello all, I'm looking at getting a new rear tire this season, any suggestions? 04- Kawi 636 -Also, I was wondering about a pipe - slip on or whole system?
Hope to receive mail from you soon, take care and ride safe!
what sort of riding are you looking to do? strictly weekend riding (nice weather, blasting down local twisties), or more utilitarian or sport-touring?
hurray, strikethrough!

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
Replace front AND rear.
I never understood how a rear wears faster than a front...
Oh wait
Nevermind.

Yup...'s
Slip-on unless you're racing.
And making a good tire choice depends on what you've got on the front & what you're doing with the bike.
I stick with Pirelli's (pun intended?) and generally stay with the same type of tire, thus I don't worry too much about replacing in pairs... but if you're gonna make a change in either brand or type of tire (touring to sporty or vise versa) then I suggest replacing in pairs.
For a sporty road tire that can do street touring duty as well as track duty, a lot of people like the Pirelli Corsa III's.

My theory - if you can't have the same level of traction, front to rear - always have more traction abilty on the front...
this means you probably need to replace both..
( on some race-tracks you may get away with two rear changes for one front)

Pirelli Diablo Corsa III's are great tires, and would be wonderful on your Kawi. For a trackday/aggressive street tire, they wear very well.
However, a good riding buddy of mine has the Bridgestone BT-016's, and loves em...Sport Rider gave them a very good score as well during their tire test in the last issue.
