Looking at getting a new set of street tires soon. Can u guys give any suggestions. I got stock bridgestones on the bike now and was thinking about gettin pilot sports.
PS looking for tires that will last for a while under normal street riding conditions with the occassional Beat down
how many miles do you put on a year? how hard do you ride?

the way you ride, you can get at LEAST 5k miles out of a set of pilot powers.... you shoulda jumped on the Power 2CT group buy.

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
The way he "rides"? Did you mean the way he worries and takes his bike apart he could get 5 years out of a set?Originally posted by OreoGitorio

You suck at life. Why don't you quit?
My dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up. So I became an Asshole.
Pretty much any set you get should last forever. A tire that never moves will never really get much tread wear.
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.

The Sports are no longer produced except in HPX and they are very expensive.Originally posted by FireFly

In Michelin, Pilot Power or Pilot Road. In Conti, Road Attack or Sport Attack.

I'm not sure what type of riding you do but i like my dunlop qualifiers alot. I've put ~4k on mine already and ride on them daily, rain/shine and done one track day with them and no complaints.

Stickier tires like the pilot power will put a lot more stress on your clutch and will cause wheelies when least expecting it which will ruin your forks when you set it down causing baby Jesus to cry...

More seriously, any modern tire will suit you just fine.

What am I doing wrong? I'm lucky to get 6000 miles out of ST tires and I ride like an old lady. Must be all the stop and go on my commute.
