Alright so ~$11-12k. Plenty of deals out there, just gotta jump on em. KTM Adventures don't last long. And FWIW, I've seen a shitload of 990's around the $8000-9000 range.
Oh and a nice Tiger:

I know I'm the resident tight wad here. But $11-12k is not $10k.
Although I'm impressed @ those. Have never seen one advertised local for less than $14k. Have found a lot of 990 owners that want $10k for their stuff.
Yes you are a cheapskate, like every other yankee around these parts. Northeast riders are notorious for wanting outrageous money for their poorly maintained crap (which is why I'm finding 12 year old rebuilt Buells with asking prices in the $4500 range), while wanting to lowball by 30% when buying.
A difference of $1500 is totally asinine if you were to ever ride the damn thing. They're phenomenal machines.

Unfortunately for me $1500 is real money. Just don't want it that bad. Someday, maybe.
I need at least 1000 Cc for being 2-up.
Narrowed it down to either a 14 -up super tenere, or Honda F6B deluxe, But I may have landed a lightly used 2014 R1200GS with only 4K on it. If I can offload both my vfr and the wifes Fz6 n the spring and not loose my shirt, I think that's the way I'm heading.
