My slipper/your slipper. You tell me.

    Hey Guys,

Need your help. Like most of us, I am short on time way to much for trial and error to trouble shoot bike issues and after all one of the best benefits to joining forums like this to get feed back on our passions (bikes). So that we can get straight to the problem.

Un-like back in the days (1970’s) when it was only trackside when we could get sniff at our answers to our issues. Or perhaps a friendly parts counter guys may have heard of that problem.

    So here goes:

1098 with a EVR slipper clutch.

Maybe at best 800 miles on that brand new clutch assembly from the factory, EVR.

    48 tooth, plates and basket.

    The install was flawless.

Out of the gate the clutch was and did just as I know it does from my other bikes.

But now, on this 1098, when I accelerate very hard all the power is gone. And I feel that it is in the clutch.

The revs are up, but it takes a second or two for the transmission to catch up.

I checked the stack height and I am good.

So with that in mind where do I turn my no time to investigate?

If anyone knows the absolute answer to this, god blesses you and please helps me.

    Thanks, T

    OEM frictions/steels or aftermarket?

I made the mistake of saving a few bucks and dropped Barnett frictions and steels into my previous bike, gixxer 750. It did the EXACT same thing you described...and a few weeks later it had OEM frictions and steels back in it. I should have spent the $208 instead of the 170 or so for the Barnett stuff.

Well it works f—king awsomse in my DRZ, but the 1098, I don’t kown if it’s a wear/adjustment thing?

    Stronger springs?
    Bleed the line?

    Who knows what the f—k?

Steve may see this on his own, but scroll down to the bottom of the first page here and start reading. http://lidzduc.blogspot.com/
Then maybe shoot him a msg?
