The clutch friction plates are replacable. If you knew the specs of the clutch friction plate wear limit and put a caliper gauge or micrometer to it that would be helpful to determine out much life it has till it needs to be serviced. My Husqvarna slipper had more time than that yet was still like new.

Other things to check is the clutch spring free limit height and clutch plate warp limit. These give problems usually from overheating. More to check would be the clutch housing for grooving where the disc tabs make contact.

I checked my CRF valves this past weekend. haven't moved in the slightest since I bought it 3 years ago.
