My boyfriend recently purchased a Nelson Rigg Deluxe All Season motorcycle cover for his matte white 696 as he keeps it outside while at school for the fall. He took the cover off to bring it to class after a few days rain and low and behold, the cover seems to have bled onto the bikes plastics. Obviously he is less than enthused considering it is supposed to be waterproof, and well, not fuck up your bike!
Mild dish soap and water and scrubbing doesn't seem to be doing the trick. Has anybody had this happen to them or have any brilliant ideas that will get rid of the streaks it has now left behind? Also something relatively safe? I'm not sure what to use as it is a matte finish and I have a glossy finish on mine.
Thanks in advance!

that seems really weird but it is a Ducati so weird stuff does happen. try some Honda (I know blasphemy on the pasta machine) polish. spray it on and let it sit for a few minutes.

I'd try the 1st part of a three part wax system. I've had really good luck with McGuires paint cleaner.
Be careful... that may leave a glossy spot.
I'd call the cover manufacturer and ask what leached out. That might give you (or a pro) an idea what will remove it.

I would try an all purpose cleaner. Such as Clorox clean-up with bleach.
