My new Mini Cooper has the slickest little feature - it knows when you're on a negative incline and when you take your foot off the clutch the brakes stay on for a second keeping you from beating the clutch to avoid going backwards. Sales guy never told me and it didn't take long to notice, be nice if bikes had it too.

That's what I was thinking when winter comes if you try to go down right off the side unless bumpers are made! Could never get enough spead to get up that either. Tires are going to need spikes. I picture lots of walking up and down that driveway.

Looks like an amazing location and house, but I think I'd want my garage at the top of the hill!

Is that a newer feature on the Mini's?
I had been looking at the Cooper Works S and have heard that it
is common for the clutches to go.

2008 Cooper S w/six speed. Its a lot easier to come out of the hole in Sport mode, little more power and less abuse to clutch. Its 2 weeks old, check back in a year and I'll let you know how its doing. Great little car though

It's a 15,000+sq ft "summer home", a second garage is in the works for the top of the hill

ya, Subaru has had the "hill holder" clutch since like 1985
