Its a 97 7R. All black, no graphics except for a red "Ninja" on the tank. I like the fact that its rare. You can find CBRs and GSXRs on every corner. The 7 has an outdated style and lower HP:weight ratio compared to newer sportbikes. I think the #'s turn away people who want bragging rights or have to have the latest thing out there. Its still an awesome machine IMO. I would love to get my hands on a Raptor or just go balls-out and make a super 7 (7->9 motor swap, SS SA, BOS undertail...woooo!). Makes me think twice about selling my current 7.
I don't ride thru Ashland very often; just occasionally when heading out or returning from a ride.
Yea... the 7R is older and heavier, but like I've said before... it's damn good looking.
I had been on the hunt for a good 7R for a while.... it was really the only bike I was interested in.
I'm perfectly happy with the power of this bike...
but who knows.... maybe in a few years I'll think about an engine swap.... I wonder if a ZX10R motor would fit?

The 94-97 9R motors almost drop in to the 7's frame and BMG makes a kit for the swap. Forget about anything else. Still good for quite a few more ponies tho...![]()
Check out http://redmonkey.com/7R - good forum.
LOL.
Yea, but the 10R isn't nearly as good looking as the 7R.
I've been to that forum... not enough though.
It's cool how many things can bolt right up to the 7R from a 9R.
My current exhaust is for a 9R. Jardine RT-One Race Carbon bolt on. It's a little tilted, but it works.
