SV 650s

Alright, just got this bike in the beggining of October, but the previous owner didn't give the manual to the shop, so i'm without a manual. Trying to get her ready for winter...but i can't find the battery, or figure out how to take off the seat...anyone with SV's, HELP! Thanks alot,

I got a sv 1000 but prob the same,

1 The black panels on the side of the bike under the seat.. remove the 1 bolt on each side, and remove black pieces.

2. Then remove the 2 seat bolts, one on each side.

3. Remove seat

4. See battery and smile.

Haha, thanks man. I'll check it out, it's an '02 if that helps anyone clarify.

the above is correct...i have a 2k 650. after you remove the seat you need to move the fuse box/plastic and under that is the battery.
