I'm lookign to buy a pair for the street sv i have ( full fairing and lower as well)
I'm looking for some no cut ones and saw 2 types
Shoguns with 2 short bolts
http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/...59-SHO-26.html
and the motosliders with one long bolt and a short bolt
http://www.motosliders.com/MS-5.html
Anyone have first hand experience or insights?

I put a set from WoodCraft on my buke. All I had to do was remove the engine bolt and replace it with the slider setup. Real quick for a noob like I was back then.

+1
Get Woodcraft sliders which you'll have to cut if you have the full fairing.

I use Intuitive on both my SVs. i have the one with the long bolt on one and the 2 short bolts on the other (staggered) neither has let me down yet. i recommend the long bolt version for strength but the staggered works well also.
the way the SV was designed any slider you put on the stock set up would be no cut but since you put lowers on youre pretty much gonna have to cut if you want any real protection
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

If you're dead set on no-cut, I can't help ya...
If ya want proper protection, Woodcraft IMO.
I dunno how those Shogun's are no-cut with lower fairings. That's right where my Woodcrafts mount and they weren't no-cut.

I am on my third pair of motosliders ...
Work as advertised and you can get individual parts.
If loud pipes save lives, imagine what learning to ride would do.
From experience with no cuts on a full faired SV...DO NOT BOTHER! Do they look pretty? Yep. Do they do anything in even a minor low speed slide/crash? NO! The brackets fail as there is simply too much force. You will bend the stock brackets just tipping the bike in the parking lot. Just cut the fairings and enjoy the fact that you won't be replacing the entire bike when/if you go down.
08 SV650s = brokenz
picked up the moto sliders
thanks for the advice...
hmmmm......
I have been on/around sv's for 6 years and no cuts DO NOT work.
IMHO get a good set and if you drill the fairing properly it will looks great.
