Do we need any better reason to insist on truthfulness from law enforcement? It's not easy to rehabilitate your credibility once it's damaged.

Yes I agree with you completely, truthfulness of law enforcement and prosecutors knowing the law are of utmost importance. I also feel that the kid is guilty and his "luck" solely came from the fuckup of the prosecution team.
