I'm actually in the market for new tires as well. I'm trying to figure out what would be the appropriate tire for my style riding. I only ride street, I don't do any track days (at the moment), and I don't race. Every once in a while I tend to ride pretty agressive depending on various safety factors.

I was originally going to go with 2CT's but a lot of people have been saying it's overkill for the street. Lot of people have been telling me if I ride JUST street the Pilot Road 2's are what I want. What do you guys think?

I agree. BTW, even the Pilot Road 2s would be fine for a red group track day pace (even yellow if you're smooth).
