Check out the for sale wanted section and take a look at the "feeler 06 r1" thread I posted. Shoot me a pm when you get a good look. I have a couple people who have showed some interest but money talks and I am willing to negotiate. Once I post the detailed pictures everyone will get a better look but I am not against anyone coming to take a look at the bike anytime. I am located in the lowell area.

I think the wheels are ugly. I'll sell you a 954 with much better looking wheels than that for less. Adult owned, 15k miles.

Go to a smaller bank or credit union. They should finance you without paying the extra point the dealer will charge you. I have had 2 bike loans threw DCU and had a good experience and good finance rate. Plus I knew exactly how much I could spend.

got an update: i was able to talk him down to 5000. Battery was completely dead, and i can tell its been dropped or at the very least, tipped over. I told him I would buy it for 4000 but he said no right off the bat. I think i'm gonna pass. What do you guys think? Still too much?

The 954 sounds like damaged goods to me, walk away. Leave the guy your number with the price your willing to pay, guaranteed he calls you. $3K is the absolute highest I would pay for that.

Very nice choices. I'd go with the Honda and offer in the $5k range to start. Compared to the ZX-6 it is much more powerful and quality should be better.

Don't get put off on R1's bike. If he doesn't respond right away it's cause he's in surgery today.

    Re: upgrading bike opinion...

R1 is better looking in my opinion. The Honda is probably more comfortable ergonomics and likely to be easier to ride. In the right hands, the R1 will be faster on the track.

    Re: upgrading bike opinion...

I'm a kawi rider so i'd have to say go with the zx-6r. but it really depends on the riding you do. I do mostly back roads almost no highways and a 600 is better for cornering and gas mileage. but the 1000's love highways and straights.

Modern FI 600's are going to be a lot faster then your old bike

modern 1000s are going to be stupidly faster lol

    Kawi FTW

    Re: upgrading bike opinion...

the price he is asking for the 954 is to high, granted the 954 is probly one of the best liter bikes ever made, it is the lightest of all liter bikes and is a great bike for an experanced rider. mine has 40,000 on the clock and i bought it with 10,000 on it 4 years ago and only paid 4500 for it then.

^Is that the zx-12 that was there not that long ago? Put a full muzzy on that and you have one of the best sounding bikes I have ever heard. I used to ride my friends all the time and it was very nice.

of course they didnt tell me that, why would they? They guy tried telling me it was some guy in his 30's that traded it in. Judging by all the stickers on it that didnt come with the bike, I figured he was blowing smoke up my ass lol
