Everyone can dream, right? Wishful thinking that they'd open the track for rent to track day organizations like most of the others do. I guess time will tell if their members only business model is lucrative for them. My guess would be that because of the short season in the Northeast, they'll be in need for extra revenue. Again, wishful thinking.![]()

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
I had the chance to drive this track this past weekend and all I can say is WOW! Its a blast to drive. Its a fast track with decent camber on the turns. This really is a super wide track with lots of run off for the trouble areas. They will have all the necessary safety equipment. It's still a work in progress but I don't expect the final result to disappoint anyone.
Ok. I have done about 80 miles on this track now. I can confirm it's awesomeness. There will be guardrail around most of it, but it will only have a minor impact on bike safety. We could see only 3 spots where runoff will be less than optimal. Overal they have done it right.
Palmer is my favorite regional track. After watching Ken's video, looks like Tamworth is a contender.
I would say it has some very similar types of challenges, but a lot less variety of corners. That said, it has better runoff and better views. I think it's an even split. The two tracks are equally awesome. Next year is going to be a dream. Going from just loudon, to having 3 incredible tracks in the region if we include nyst is hard to believe. But it is real!
Oh man, I wish I was still into tracking the sti!!!!!!!
Welcome To Club Motorsport Club Motorsports
+1 Paul the variety of track s in the past 5 years is Amazing! I've been hearing about Tamworth for probably over 15 years.
We were told 250' in elevation form the lowest to the highest part of the track. Comparison is Palmer at 190+.
Technical . Yes.
Complexities Yes. Get ready to learn, enhance, refine your skillets Absolutely!
Fun Factor a Definite.
Availability for sig. others to view should be greatly available but not sure on that current development.
Local area establishment definite. We at at the BBQ joint down the street and was really good.

Nice vid Paul. Track looks pretty sweet.
I can't wait to ride it, but I honestly, can't see myself making the trip up there more than once a year though - especially now that I can leave my house at 6am, ride a day at Palmer, and be home in time for dinner at 7pm.

This now puts Canaan, NHMS, Boxshop and this place all within a 2 hour shot from me. Somebody loves me.
Reason 594584 why I want to buy some land and retire to Tamworth.
Come on guys....you all have been spoiled. Less than 4 years ago, the only option was NHMS. The next was Pocono and then Summit Point. I drive no less than 3 hours for almost every track besides NHMS and if you know me, you know I ride other tracks. NJ, WV, OH, Mosport (Canada....yep....11.5 hour drive for what ended up being one practice session and one race day). I won't even mention Barber because I fly, but honestly, an extra hour or 2. Worth it completely!

I dig.
Potentially doing a shit ton of trackdays next year. This might be a contender. Looks like a wonderful track, though not necessarily little bike friendly.

As far as the little bike thing goes, most of this track is under 100, so it should ride like a dream on an SV. Some of the acceleration zones are long, which should spread out the light weight, middle weight and heavyweight bikes a bit. But most importantly the track is WIDE in many corners. This means you can roll right around slower bikes without too much trouble. I think it will be great for all. In the end, it is not much faster than palmer.
Thoughts on a NHMS friendly motard? Ie a 450 MX based conversion. That front straight looks long for a thumper.
Any mention re: Palmer-like noise restrictions?
We did not discuss noise. Both Palmer and Tamworth have long straights for motards, but the rest of the track is under 100 (except T3 at Palmer) so perfect for 450s. Tamworth is more open than Palmer, but actually doesn't have any "fast" corners. meaning none over 90.
Looking a few posts back at my data, the only places a motard is going to get waxed is the straight, and the hill from 5 to 6. The other zones aren't so high speed and should be more rider skill and nerve making the difference. There is a hard drive out of 8 into 9 and 9 into 10 where liter bikes might have a distinct advantage.
I hit 102 on the Stock Hawk on the front straight just shifting into 5th. The Wind Resistance and my tall gearing limits me. At Thompson i hit 98. There the hill up to T1 limits me. Mostly 3 and 4th gears with the hawk.
