Very nice.
I remember making a trip into Montreal to meet Pee Wee Gleason and see the new VMax back in 1985. He signed a huge poster they were giving away that I expect would be worth something to a collector. It was the inside image of him doing a burnout inside the studio.
These bikes are going to suffer a good fate of demand outstripping supply if it's released in limited numbers.
Well done Yamaha, especially that rear drive detail.
my buddy just bought one, but he wont have it until January.
The bike is badass. I had a 95, and this new version added almost everything Vmax lovers were asking for. The only issues I have are the price and the weight.
it will be miles better than the original in handling. Have you ever actually looked at the components in the original? Compare them to the new one
I want to ride it, sit on it and drool all over it

the new v-max is UNDERPRICED!! i own a very modified 97-i could have bought 2 new ones for what i have into mine. the fuel injection alone is a $5000.00 upgrade if you choose to go that route on an older max! anyone who says its overpriced should take an 07 holdover and try to convert it into what the new bike is with the money that you have left over-not possible. with the power this bike has there will be a few owners who cant handle it-i'll buy mine used. this bike will get the same attention as the old max where ever it shows up-its sick. the two order here in vt will arrive sometime this week-i'll see them before their owners lol. i'm pretty tight with the local dealer as they have done all the mods on my 97. if you're looking for a bike that'll rip your arms outta their sockets here's your ride. i only wish it had come out before i spent all the cash on the 97.

nice, very nice. atleast you can say you built it right? people keep bitching about the price but the new ones. they need to look at the sum of parts that it comes with stock. if i had 18 g's for a bike i'd have one.
i was the chapter leader for vermont, but it was really hard to fulfill the obligation. most of the v-max guys are older (35-40's), and most, like myself, have families and all that stuff. it was extremely hard to get the 3 other guys from vt to ride together. i do most of my riding with a good high school friend, we can both manage to get away without any problems. its gonna be harder for him now though, they just had their second kid in 3 years! bike week this year is definetly out for him. if the price of gas keeps falling-i may just load it up and drive down for a little fun in the sun!! what did you do with your max?

I sold my Vmax a few years ago when I bought my R6, love the sportbike but sometimes miss the max. I hear you with the trouble getting out to ride, I just had my first last fall. The year before the baby was born I rode 12,000 miles, last year I dont think I hit 1000.
A guy I ride with is the New England president for the VMOA, or was until recently, not sure if he still is. Don Fox from Providence RI
