fucking adventure bike dorks
I shouldn't talk, a couple weeks ago I bought an ANSI level something certified safety jacket that's that color and has a bunch of reflective striping so people see me when I'm working.

Seriously, a 1 piece rain suit. Dunno why I hadn't looked at these earlier.

wait...how well does it store?
I bought a $50 rainsuit from cyclegear, but it's all black and has 2 1/2" reflective strips for visibility
I'd like something high vis, but need to be able to store it my saddle bag, and ideally cheap![]()
Isn't that RandyO?
It came with a waterproof carrying bag. it rols up like a sleeping bag and fits in the bag. the bag fits easily into my backpack with plenty of room to spare. Id say rolled up in the bag its the size of a size 12 shoe. i say this because it takes up a little less room than my size 13... lol
The bag seals closed with a bungee and clip.
I have yet to use it as the weather has been fucking perfect, but if it keeps me dry I am sold 100% on this suit.
If youre in the menifee area on saturday let me know and ill bring it with me. Ill be in/around menifee/temecula all day.

btw $100 very well spent. it was pouring out yesterday on the way to work. I had a couple "cold" spots that i immediately thought were leaks. when i got to work and got out of the suit not a single spot of water.
it is a pita to get on/off with boots on. If i put it one then put my boots in it isnt bad.
Seriously though. the first time i have EVER ridden in the rain and remained 100% dry.
I am never going without this thing with me at all time on the bike.

oh man, I wish I saw this message earlier! menifee is only 61 miles from me (or coincidentally at the end of lovely canyon road they call the ortega highway)
I also got stuck in the aforementioned rain...my $50 rain suit got pretty damp in the crotch - you sure it didn't leak through your crotch? if so, that extra $50 would be worth it for commuters...
yeah, most rain suits are tricky to get on/off with boots on...just do it repeatedly and you'll get there...nowadays I can rock off those boots, step out of this thing, roll it up, and stuff it in my saddle bag within minutes
where are you stowing it?
Nice suit Keith! We got those in a few weeks ago and I was wondering how well they would work - glad to hear you were happy with it. I'm just a little hurt at how quickly I was replaced.
You know I'm just kidding, right?

Like I said $100 very well spent. There is a flap that protects at the point where the top meets the bottom. I'll be in menifee again this weekend. In fact every weekend until this project is wrapped up lol.Originally Posted by breakdirt916
I was completely dry and it didn't take long for the suit to dry off after I took it off at work.
After wearing it in the rain and still having a little trouble getting it on/off I give it a 9.5 out of 10.

It was a strange feeling having to place the order online. It felt like scratching a lottery ticket. Lol
In this case I won but next time I might not get so lucky.
It is a great suit for the rain.
Still feelin' the love?
I've recently 'upgraded' my jacket to something that doesn't even pretend to be waterproof. Thinking about a 1-piece suit to go over it all; something I'll leave in the saddle bag when commuting. Looked at the Frogg Toggs... but hear mixed things. This 1-piece is more.. but not a lot more.
I liked my Frogg Toggs for the most part, but I won't be buying another pair. Mine ended up getting torn to pieces with at least 4 different failure points, from things like my peg and trying to take them off. They got used heavily on my two trips, though, so the next thing I buy may fail just as quickly.

Yup still love it. I have worn it maybe 4 times now an it's great. I keep it in my back pack all the time just incase.
It's still a pain to put it on with my boots but no issues thus far.
I have recommended it to everyone I work with that rides.
