Kahm it has to be somewhere and no one else seemed to have any ideas or for that matter a route in mind. If everyone is fine with just showing up at moto market and posing thats fine, But I intend to put some miles on the bike tomorrow and due to the fact that there were no other plans I made a decision to go to the vbc . No one has to follow me, or lead me I know where I am going.
you can lead , follow or get out of the way.

The food is good, a little pricey but still good, there's probably some of the best roads in southern New England in that area (asuming that's why Kham doesn't like the place, the roads are sportriding friendly and not real wheelie friendly)Originally posted by chr|s sedition

RIP A.B. RIP BEET, I Ride in Leathers because I would rather sweat than Bleed...
here is the problem! I know a route from mm to vbc some of it is marked route and some of it is back roads, you would have to follow me to get there. Unfortunately what happens after that is that I don't go home that way so people are up to them selves to get home and the only way they know is the highway.
My suggestion to EVERYONE is if you don't know your way around is to buy maps for all of the states you plan to ride in and carry them on your bike .
I found the back routes by exploring and getting lost a few times.
If anyone else has an idea of where to ride tomorrow I am all for it. But since no one has any ideas, only criticisms them you have 2 choices.
ride with me or don't
I don't care, either way I am going to have fun and rack up some miles.

So long as I don't get a ticket I'm happy! I belong to an elite club of ZX-12R riders in MA whose membership can more than likely be counted on one hand. Belive it or not, I have managed to get my insurance step down to a 9 while owning the 12R
! I save around $400 a year on both my car and motorcycle insurance and I would like to keep it that way as long as I can! I'll be trying my best to be good because the state seems to think I am!

jeez Shawn, "..hey look at me.. im gonna rack up some miles. follow me or don't follow me."

You all had damn nice weather today... and it looks like a decent turnout.

that sneeky bastard tried to set up a trap for us, after he pulled out of that driveway in front of us I was trying to keep him with in vision around the corners with out going too fast, but he got away from me, backed into a side street but didn't get his radar set up in time, but we had slowed by then anyway.
Great day for a ride, the weather was perfect.
I have NEVER seen vanilla bean that packed, the line for food was out into the parking lot as was the line for the bathroom.
Usually its just steady flow of bikes in and out all day but never that many.
I think the apperance on the tv show "the ride" boosted business for him.
I got a couple hundred miles for the day, not bad for early seaon ride with a late start as the weather gets warmer we can head out much earlier and cover mor distance before the church traffic comes out.
I will say this though I don't know who left the 2 riders behind nor do I care , but I mentioned when we started this morning that you are responsible to wait at intersections, red lights, side road turns etc for those riding behind you. that way there no one gets lost or left behind.
Assuming everyone does this there will be someone waiting at the next interchange for you . It sucks to be the guy to come up on an intersection expecting to see a rider waiting for you and no one is there, now you have to figure out where the hell you are and if you are lucky enough to have brought a map with you , try to find your way.
all in all a good un eventful day of riding.

Thanks to theothersean for showing some great roads; great first real ride of the season - at least for me.
It was nice to put faces to the names and screennames.
Lets do it again.
Manny
Yeah, I' d like to echo Sean on this...if your towards the tail end of things this is most likley to happen at lights / passing cars. Don't worry about keeping up with people in front. Just make sure you are A) riding saftley and B) keeping track of what's going on behind you so no one ge's left behind. If everyone is mindful of other riders then the group will move effectivly and no one will be left behind. This is a pretty common rule for group riding and it's really cool when it works the way it shouldOriginally posted by theothersean

Manny and I didn't make the light at the intersection of 31 and 9. When we got going, everyone was out of sight. I knew 31 would bring us to CT so we stayed on it and asked for directions once we crossed the border.
Now if I could only remember the roads from Motomarket to 62...
sorry dude, i had no idea. when we got to the Bean i waste no time for rest room and food order. i was starving and the place was pack. got 2 hotdogs and stayed inside. it was cooler.Originally posted by ZX-12R
