Re: March 28th Open season ride.
No kidding on the busy parking lot.. you could possibly even pick another place say... Lowe's parking lot, or Target lot... either way, traffic won't be so bad to break it up at 10am. They are right across from each other (and I'm sure you know since you live around here)
I have a feeling I am going to be missing out on most of this ride due to my airport dropoff. I'm hopefully going to be securing a bike soon... so I should have something to ride. Not sure if I'd be able to catch up to you guys and head out so far.. that is a mighty big route for my first outing of the season, I'd imagine my back is going to be screaming in pain after this.. har har. I was told that the DT? tires that are coming with the bike may not be good for long rides due to overheating the rubber? It's starting to worry be a little bit if the bike will make it :)
Maybe you could pass along some of the phone numbers of those that have helmet bluetooth so some of us may be able to call and figure out where you guys are at in hopes of catching up?

Re: March 28th Open season ride.
Steve, when it gets closer we will all exchange phone numbers that have head sets. as for the ride, why dont you just drop the person off an hour earler!! This is going to be an awesome ride and very relaxed. We arent on a strict schedule and we will probably stop a few times to get adjusted and rest.

FYI, if anyone ends up near the center of Princeton, friends of mine opened up a sweet lil cafe last season named Mountainside Market. its right off 62 (westbound) across from the town center (Police, Library, Town Hall)
great bike stop, super good sandwiches, benches outside, fireplace inside, etc...

Will try to do that.. not sure how things are panning out. We're going to be out the night before to see the Calgary Flames vs. Bruins hockey game.. so ideally not hung over.. :) I'll see if we can get things together to get to the airport and back. I can't ditch him way too early there! (Plus in order to be there and back and in time to ride.. I'd probably have to drop him more than that time.. har har). You know it kills at least a good 1 hr just to go from natick to the airport and back!

Re: March 28th Open season ride.
Ok just read your Post about the NEW MEETING AREA
Shell right on RT 20, 413 Lakeside Avenue, Marlborough MA 01752
That will work perfect, its right off exit 24b of rt495
If we get to big for the gas station there is a Mariot right next door with a large empty lot

Re: March 28th Open season ride.
It has come to my attention that some people may fear going on this ride for reasons such as imaginary drama. I just want to assure that person... I mean people, that the world does not in fact revolve around you and I firmly believe that all parties in question are capable of riding down the same roads at the same time.
That is all. lol

Bodybags: This is me NOT asking wtf that means hahaha.... seriously though.
hehe not gonna start drama - just figured a calling out was in order.
Back to the ride stuffs. Are we contemplating a rain date or rain route? or is this happening no matter what. I'm not overly thrilled at 400+ miles in the rain but that's just me.
-
Re: March 28th Open season ride.
Elissama Rain date would be April 4th. You going to meet up with the "northerners" before we ride down also?
-
Re: March 28th Open season ride.
Save the drama for your mama and ride. Anyone who is worried about drama needs to park their bike. haha.
But seriously, this should be a pretty fun ride.
Oh, and Dan Z & my ride time to meet location: 2 minutes, 3 tops if the light is red/1.2 miles if that.

Re: March 28th Open season ride.
Does it count that my father is a retired firefighter EMT? I once played a doctor in my dream.

Re: March 28th Open season ride.
If I have my bike registered, insured, put back together, and my jacket fixed by the 28th I will be there. If no jacket I guess I'll break in my track suit for the day:deathslap:

Uh, no way Jose. We don't want to friggen officers trying to slow us down by looking up AR's or FM's in the middle of the ride. Go play with your toy soldiers or something!
