Went for about a 50-60 mile ride today and took some roads that I suspected would be sandy just to see how there were, and honestly wanted to see how/if the bike danced on the sand. Wasn't to bad.
As for a scouting ride out to the "hill towns" (inside joke with me and Dan) you know I'm up for that Dan. We can do a scouting run 10-14 days before the ride.
wordtoyomama, how do you like your Scala system? I'm shopping around for either a blue tooth equipped helmet (so far choices are the Nolan N103 N-com & the Vemar Jiano Bluetooth Helmet) or just get another Shoei and rock the Scala system, my concern is I want something that the music sounds GOOD on. I'm upgrading to a droid in about 6 weeks so I figured load it up with music and use it for music/gps/phone calls when needed.
What are your thoughts on the scala?

how does the music sound though? That's the only thing holding me back from the scala. Just found out there are some shoeis on sale for super cheap money, so I want to go this route (the Nolan N103 has great reviews on sound quality, plus it has all the nice perks I like, but loaded with the N-com it's a 725.00 helmet. Ugh).
I read up on the Parrot system but though people say the music sounds good a lot of people say they have pairing problems.

15 or 16 so far. Sounds like a good time. Got a route in mind yet? Can't wait for this winter to end. Didn't ride much last year and only got in one track day. I'm def blowing of work this year for more track days!

Welcome to NESR. Swing by the Welcome/Intro forum and introduce yourself, you will no longer be a stranger and therefore not crashing the party.
Besides we don't all personally know each other, I happen to know Ray because the poor bastard dates my long time friend (don't you dare say anything to Cindy Ray!, lol) and Dan Z is my room mate. Best way to get to know new riders is to meet them on rides! So get your bike back together and join in on the fun!

I am riding an 07 Yamaha R6s (Candy Red). My previous bikes were an 07 600rr, 07 Yamaha FZ6 & my last bike was an 04 GSXR 600. I sold that last year to get my girl an engagement ring. I treated myself to my bike 2 weeks ago. It was mint and stock... now when I am done it will be slightly modded and mint.
