Yeah, that was an awesome day of riding and it was nice meeting all of you out there too. And for anybody who hasn't done a track day yet, you gotta try one of these. Tooo fun -Robert
what a glorious day for a track day!![]()
I had the time of my life out there, no photo work during the day for a change. My good day was capped by seeing the line of people still wanting photos as I pulled out at 6:00, used to be ME stuck there. Owens did a good job replacing me, it seems.
So nice meeting you all (again, in most cases.) I hope I didn't hold too many of you up too long.

after two years of wanting to do a track day... of being told I should do a track day... finally got the money / time to do one.
in the 4 yr. I've been riding a sport-ish bike, prolly learned more yesterday than in any one season before.well worth the $$$.
a few special thanks & comments:
Jay (and especially Cheryl and the girls)- thanx for giving up an evening & futon so I could have an easy ride over in the AM... most appreciated!
Degsy- thanx for repeatedly taking me by the hand and guiding me around... I guarantee I was riding about 50% faster on the laps I followed you vs. the ones where I was struggling to find the line myself.![]()
Jank & Snaggle- really appreciated the tips, critiques, suggestions, and occasional compliments... definitely helped, you guys are great.
35racer- Tony, great track day. keeping any semblance of organization w/ 80 adrenaline-charged riders has gotta be a semi-miracle. the plan / organization were great, your instructors were fantastic, the day was killer... and for the record, it is just a vicious rumor that the squidliness in the yellow group started at the same time that I moved up into it...
Ken C.- great talking to you again, and I was impressed w/ the "virgin riders' meeting" you put on. I know this was a new feature... hope you guys continue w/ it.
Karaya One- ahhhhh... the FOOD!man, if anyone went hungry yesterday, it was their own damned fault. good to see you again, too, Dave.
honclfibr- y'know, yer a helluva lot quicker / more confident thru turns on the track than you are on the street... nice to see you having big twisty fun!
rmnissen- great to see you again, mang... and DAYUM, but you and that R6 are moving in a completely different league than than the last time I saw you ride...
Sprint Poser- thanx for the suspension / line tips... and that banana RS looks better and better to me each time I see it...![]()
patricia929- nice being passed by you so often...did you have some bike trouble during one of the later sessions? thought I saw you pit & return...?
Double D, elaineo, brewmaster, MissTwisties, Cort, Cowboyrider, Roadrider,... always great to meet and put faces to the folk I only know from the board... and to prove, once again, that we've got the hottest ladies (and they RIDE!) right here on NESR!
(can ya tell I had a blast?)

What an awesome day! Thanks to all of you for help making it a great experience. Degsy, thank you for showing me the right line and pushing me that little extra...Tony, for the $50 deal, everyone for the welcome to the group. For being such the newbie to all this, it turned out better than I could imagine. I had been so nervous about the whole thing...to think how much energy I wasted all that week worrying about it! To all the girls, it was great to meet all of you and I look forward to seeing you all again soon! all in all, a great group of people and a great day. And to repeat what bemused said, if you haven't done a track day, don't wait any longer, do it!
First, thank you Degsy and the other guy (?) for giving me a different route to come home...took me 2 hours sharp to get here. It's a good thing I didn't go thru the route I took the night before, would have got me 3 hours to get home and I couldn't have made it. My eyes were shutting down on the road, I was thinking of stopping to rest but made it home.I'm still exhausted, 2 hours of sleep? Never again. Just to say how much I was tired, I forgot my gear at the track....DOH...thanks Degsy for bringing it to SprintPoser...lol
I have huge thanks to give. Zombie, for so kindly sending me to the track. Thank you, thank you thank you!!
Degsy, you are a wonderful man, so kind and patient. Like Bemused said, I was going faster and was taking turns better when following you than when I was by myself. I learned a lot from you. I hope I did well, altho I was wishing to be knee dragging by the end of the day. Guess that won't happen, I still need to learn to crawl before I can run!I need to work on many things before I can do that...
Thanks also for preparing my bike, it runs great now! LOL
Sprintposer, thank you so much for trailering my bike up there. Thanks for showing me around also!
Tony (and your wife), this is well organized. You guys are awsome for putting up these events for us riders...I really hope to attend another one of your trackdays! And I'm pushing my husband right now to do one.
Stoneman (very cool guy, you make me smile!), Jankster (what would have I done without your towel? lol), Bemused (charismatic mister? ) Double "D" for showing up (nice surprise), Ken C (you are a funny guy! With lots of knowledge), Dave (first time I tried Chili, and yours was surely a good experience!
), Courtney (glad we could get to know each other a little bit more, you're a nice girl
), and ALL the other girls, you rock!!! So glad I got to meet ALL of you!
If I forget anyone, give me a slap on the hand. I was so happy to meet all of you. I learned A LOT from many of you. And yes, I had a blast, even tho I did mistakes on the track that almost got me to crash. But I didn't. I was too tired at the end of the day to keep going for the last lap, so I decided it was not worth me crashing.
For the record...I know I probably sounded like a child in a candy store yesterday...but this was one of the rare occasions I have to meet people, have fun and enjoy my motorcycle...I was so happy to be there. I love you all!
I am now going back to my "mom at home" duties, and will be day dreaming about yesterday! hahaha!!!![]()

Hell yeah, she can! I went out with her group a coupla times, and followed her around for a few laps. I was genuinely impressed. Although I may have been wunna the guilty parties, as I passed her going into 3 and again around 9. May have gotten a bit close...Watch out guys caus' that girl can ride!
Don't be so eager. In my opinion, the yellow group was the best group to be in yesterday...Blue group here I come![]()
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?

Sorry, I know that was uncool of me. I will definitely have to make it on a ride.
It's been said before, but man, track days are addicting! Thanks to everyone who helped to organize the event, especially Tony and his wife, and it was great to meet everyone!
Jeff - You're a quick old bastige on the track! Nice balls of rubber flecking off your tires, and they say Kats can't corner
Court - Looking good on that silver streak! I'm amazed how well you move that beast of a bike around, where I have trouble with a smaller bike and an extra 10 inches![]()
Veronique - Your enthusiasm was contagious, good to see you out there enjoying the track day. Don't kid yourself, you'll be back, they're like heroin!
Roadrider - Way to move that bike, I've never seen a ZX6E corner like *that* beforeI can show you how to stoppie one tho, if you're interested
Elaine - You crashed my bike, bitch! Fuck you!:
Derek - Thanks for the use of the tools, I hadn't anticipated needing to yank a centerstand yesterday but somebody just got a little too fast![]()
Jay - Way to sell the bike, mang. You sure you don't wanna buy a nice track ready EX500? Comes with new silver bodywork and everything
Once again, just an excellent, excellent day. Hands down the most fun I've had on a bike, ever. I'll be back, guaranteed, and I hope to see even more NESR faces there next time![]()
Had a great time yesterday! Great to see everyone and meet new faces. We soooo lucked out on the weather window, heh heh. Had a blast with Snaggle and Jankster out on the track. Big thanks to Jay and Degsy for all the tips and encouragement! Can't wait to get out there again...![]()
