Re: VT: Year End Ride and BBQ 10/18

hey! announcing my return to the forum! been unable to login for a while, due to buying the house and moving, and all that... and i haven't seen alot of you either... *sniff* also due to house buying, moving, nasty rainy and/or cold weather, working nights, etc. but i'm deffinatly in for saturday. however, i won't be able to bring the f4. on my way home from work last week, hit SOMETHING that sliced the rear pretty good. maybe 500 miles or less, plus a track day, and i need ANOTHER new tire. my luck, huh? AND, only 50 or so miles from my 6,000 for this year, that i wanted so badly. oh well, there's always next year.
also, SUPER kudos to trouble, for "emergency road-side service" at 7:30 at night. dude that was awesome, its really nice to know I've got people I can count on. he had a patch kit, we plugged the hole, managed 29 psi into it, and he folllowed me all the way home... at 40mph on 116!
anyway, i'll be there saturday, not sure if kris will join me or not, i'll see if i can't get her to tag along. we'll see you all then! -ty

Re: VT: Year End Ride and BBQ 10/18

Alright Ty! Bring the girl bro...especially if you are coming up in the cage!

Things are coming together nicely...we've got food figured out (going shopping on Friday!). Ride info and times are as good as they are going to get...it would be nice to know who is going on which ride, but I guess we'll just find out when we get to the meeting spots. Though if you are going to join in with Mark, please let him know where, don't wanna be leavin peeps waiting at a gas station all day (like those people meeting us at the Mobile in Underhill )

Food will be chili (hot and mild) cornbread, some sort of salad, marinated grilled chicken tenders, hotdogs, cider donuts w/ cider, and variious snacks!

Please dress warm for the rides, as it will be about 50*...Mary at RSM (thats road side marine) has the Cortech Scarab Winter Gloves in stock...so go get em if you want warm mitts!

    See ya'll Sat!!!!

I'm gonna have to bow out. My parents and brothers are coming up to go out to dinner for my b-day.

I might be in for the ride though, it could be early enough if we leave at 1000.

    I'll keep you posted.

Meet at the Hinesburg Mobile Station at 11:30/12.
Hit some Local roads, take 17 from New Haven to the Top where we will meet up with Mark and FTMS!
Then we, as one big happy group (that Mark does not like riding in ) will head to Underhill for Food!
Motofreak, is that Mobile the 'new' one located just down the road from NRG? with multiple pumps, brick building and a snack/deli inside?

Jason, come along with my group. Meeting at the McDonald's on Williston Rd, kickstands up at 9am. You'll be home by 2 or 2:30, or you can peel off earlier if you need to.

OK, I'm in...the work event on Saturday got cancelled. Now I just have to figure out if it's going to be warm enough to ride the bike or not.

(Current Wx in Killington is 29 degrees at 8 a.m. Saturday, 34 degrees at 11 a.m.; I may have to dig out the ski clothes and wear those instead of leather.)

I'm trying to figure out how I can make this work. I need to be back in Manchester for 7:00 for a stupid client meeting that I didn't know about until yesterday.

Re: VT: Year End Ride and BBQ 10/18

Reminder to anyone planning to join my ride:

We're leaving at 9am sharp from the McDonald's on Williston Rd in South Burlington. So plan to be there a few minutes early.
We're stopping at the gas station at the intersection of Rt 302 and Rt 110 at about 9:45 to pick up additional people.
Then we're meeting up with FTMS and the NH crew at the intersection of Rt 25 and Goose Green Rd at about 10:30.
We'll stop off at the gas station at the Rt 110/Rt 14 intersection in South Royalton at about 11:30 in case anyone wants to join us there.
And finally we're meeting up with MotoFreak and his crew at the top of the App Gap at about 1pm.

    See you all tomorrow.

I have kind of a last minute menu request for tomorrow. Given the temps for Sat, could we have some hot cider?
