I've been eyeing some class 4 roads around central Vermont (greater Montpelier--Middlesex, Montpelier, Marshfield, mostly), and thinking that I might try to check them out tomorrow morning (and definitely will if anyone wants to come along). I'm riding a 1150GS, so if it gets particularly gnarly, I'll probably have to turn around, but I'm hoping to find some moderately challenging stuff that still allows me to keep the rubber side down more often than not.
Route plan is something like this (use your imagination where Google doesn't think the roads go through), thinking 9 am to early afternoon, which may or may not allow for riding that whole route.
Thanks for putting out the offer. That is the kind of route, I (aka Ol' Unkle Pokey) would like on a nice weather day. My bike & I might have the grit, nearly sufficient skill & ample desire for up to Class 3 roads...class 4 might be a stretch..but...sadly... I am busy all day on Saturday.
You have a great bike for some Vermont road exploration. Have a great ride.

If I had noticed this earlier I would have been up for it. Maybe next time
I'd definitely be up for a ride like this too, but have been in Virginia all weekend for a friend's wedding.
Keep us posted on future rides!
