So, are there still grass areas for us tenters, or did they pave the entire fricken inside of the oval?
Anyone got pics?

Sprint Cup comes up there the 28th, so I figure they are going to have the track very ready very soon. With practice/qualifying and everything else the track will need to be ready to go by the 23rd, 24th at the latest i'm betting.
I don't watch a lot of NASCAR but I'm sure those two races bring most of that track's income for the season.
I'm working the Penguin School, Loudon Classic and USCRA for the next ten days. I'm expecting to be at the track tomorrow afternoon. If possible, I'll snap some photos and try to post them and get a general idea of what is done. I haven't been bothering Wanda for the official skinny on this because I'm pretty sure they're going to be working like a MoFo during the 5 day shutdown, and even what's done today won't give an accurate idea on the progress.

Is new pavement require "curing" time? Is new pavement oily? Anybody know about this stuff?
I didn't mind the chicanes because people used their head. I had a lot of fun with them actually. The classic weekend is full of energy and I don't think it would be the case a 2nd time around.
In addition, we finally got a National series back to the track and I really would have a tough time believing that ASRA would ever come back if they had to run those chicanes.
Guess we will know soon enough what the condition of the track is. (=

LOL! Loved that game!
I assume the Boston Moto track day will have the chicanes next week?
Why are people talking about the chicanes still?
Boston --> San Diego
I'll be there this afternoon, with a camera.
