No problems here either. I'm greatful to have a real live race track in my back yard too.
Just typically curious, and getting an idea for the next time I get up there.
Nicely typed Fitz.
I like it. Grips good and I love barreling onto the new T1![]()

After only 10 laps on the new configuration here's my opinion.
I'm WAY slower.... I'm braking FAR too early!! I need to improve this because I am loosing at least 2 seconds.
Personally the new pavement seems much better than the old pavement. I also prefer the tighter T1 from a riding stand point. However as has been said before the run off on the outside of T1A is SCARY!
Overall the change is an improvement to the track riding configuration, but a possible step back in the overall safety. Of course the fast guy's (not me) will be the ones who are going to be testing that (just ask Jeff Wood).

Jeff crashed in T2 while cruising and looking backwards while riding 20' off the apex of T2. He was highsided. Unrelated to new layout.

So after racing in the rain its funny how quickly you ignore the wall as you enter turn 1
I like the new layout for sure, and there is plenty of grip and got better throughout the weekend. I think I still prefer the old layout, but this is just as fun. It is a lot of fun to snap the bike from 1 to 1a though!!!

I loved the new layout. Always like to see change at the track so we're not running the same thing over and over every weekend. Tons of grip...(for now)... on the new pavement, and now you can drive way deep into turn 1. Had an awesome weekend.

I had a tough time adjusting to the new layout.... mainly because the old turn 1-2 was becoming so automatic that I had to throw out all my old markers & habbits. It was soooo weird not hitting the same old spots on the entry to turn 1.
In the end, I began making it more consistent & I was relieved to see that Brett Guyer didn't completely leaving me in the dust through that section after he lapped me during the ASRA Thunderbike race.
All in all, I think it'll take some getting used to, but I dig itand like Fitz, I'm glad that NHMS is making a very sold effort to keep us there untilllllll
a new track comes along

Ya think!!!!?????
Scott, that was pretty much the most fun race i have ever had, even considering sampling the air fence in the apex of 10.
I dove under you like 3 times into 1, and you just wouldn't give up! Very trusting riding between you, Brian and Ricky that whole race! Can't wait for the next one!

hahahaha, that race was an absolute blast, you guys really made me work for the win. I knew it was you coming up the inside into 1 those last few laps, then it was Ricky right next to me at the finish. Got really confused for a moment. That is what production races are all about, can't wait to do it again........We need more middleweight production twins out there.
Yes, it would be nice to get more people into that class!
What's awesome for me is I get to dice with some pretty fast guys. Usually I was out motored in LWSS and other classes. This makes it incredibly fun and incredibly difficult to make passes. Truly fun racing!
And coming from a EX500 guy, fairly cheap racing, too!
