Seth, your just one of the people/reasons they had 2 security people on for the last event. For some unknown reason, they don't trust us LRRS peeps.
It's not like we would have organized supermoto races or pit bike hill climbs.
That would never happen. The paddock is far to civilized for that kind of nonsense.

Supermoto event for the loudon clasic event? No way, we can't have you tearing up any of the dirt. Who cares that it likely had the most spectators of any race in the 6 or 7 years I've been there.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

I was in contact with Wanda today. She said that Turn 1/1A isn't going to be ready for the LRRS event this weekend. Going into the Vintage Celebration, Jerry Wood came up to me and said that Eric already had a complete set of plans to convert NASCAR 1 and 2 into something that will be safe and fun.
Reaction to the chicane setup designed by Ed Valpey for the Vintage Celebration had a positive response from all that I talked to, even the guy who went into the event convinced that it would suck. That design was a compromise that was shared with the cars, Eric's setup should be better.
I think that those of you who came to the season opener six years ago felt the same way about the design Eric came up with back then. After getting over the initial shock of finding the NASCAR turns all torn up, quite a few commented after the event that it was an interesting variation to the same old track they always ran.
See y'all this weekend.

Jen's dad raced it last weekend with the Vintage gang and I guess everyone was really digging it (and again that setup had to work for cars too)
I'm all for trying a new setup! Plus these changes normally equal some tight chicanes which is a-okay for the little motard![]()
Boston --> San Diego
Penguin School should capitalize on this and offer a one day "learn the fast line in the new section" class on Friday.I'd be all over it.

Well, since Eric is the one designing the new sections, I think your chances may be,,,,,,good.

Anyone got any pictures? I want to lust after some corners setup on the smooth Nascar oval!

Here's a video of the Vintage Celebration setup. Eric will be using much fewer cones and more soft barriers.
