AMA Pro Racing Mandates Brake Lever Guards

Believe me, Eric, I'm a proponent. Like I said, I can think of three times this year that had I, or the guy I was banging up against, not had your guards on the bars, I'd have been in the dirt; the first incident left me a happy customer.

I guess it just pains me when safety products end up being expensive, since I don't think folks are as apt to spend the money on them then. It goes twofold for these, since this is one of the best products that you can put on your bike to make racing safer, not just for you, but for the riders around you.

It's not about how much something costs to produce, it's about the item's value on the market.

I suppose there is the potential of manufacturers exploiting the safety aspect to jack up the price, but this isn't really that expensive and it's a quality product.

I've never seen online retailers sell these. Are they only available through woodcraft directly?

I can tell you that we will not be raising prices now that the AMA has mandated them....that's not exactly how we run things at Woodcraft.

The offer for the free guards is good until Thanksgiving....so there is time left to take advantage of the offer.
