Yes, they are broadcasting. Wanda got the center garages P.A. to work on Friday. That was last Friday so....who knows come this weekend.

Subject: RE: no electric in the central garages?
There will be power in the garage areas over the weekend. There was power during SCCA also, I have NO idea why there is anyone saying that there wasn’t. We have a generator running EVERYTHING in the infield. The only problem we had was one isolated area in the welding building that I had to run a few extension cords to to run the sound system. We have no power issues at present or in the near future.
The radio frequency shown below. I personally am looking forward to Bruce's return since I had my hands full doing the practice/race calls in addition to my usual shit at the last event.

Because there isn't any place to reference this (or any) information regarding track-specific updates so we're left with hearsay, a wing and a prayer. There was power during SCCA also, I have NO idea why there is anyone saying that there wasn’t.
All I can say is ........ see you all at the races this weekend! It maybe less than optimum but at least we can still race.
The track as any business needs to turn a profit. NASCRAP provides that profit for NHMS, not LRRS. Therefore it only makes good business sense for NHMS to cater to NASCRAP. We happen to be a very small, most likely break even revenue generator for the track. Until we get spectators who are willing to pay to watch us it will always be that way.
I would love to see them build a separate, dedicated road race course. If built correctly it could bring in WSB, AMA and who knows maybe MotoGP. Add to that all the car road racing and it might actually be a slight revenue generator.
Of course the real benefit would be the ability to add more seating to the NASCAR oval. You could then increase the revenue and possibly pay for the road course. Plus you could use the road course for parking during the NASCAR event(s).
If that builds a world class road course that would be a Monopoly in the N.E. area, I'm for it. It could pay out BIG for NHMS. And WE would be the luck bastards (and bitches) who would be club racing on it the rest of the time.

87.9 wasn't working for us the last race weekend nor could we hear the PA system on Saturday. One of us had a scanner and tapped into the VHF High Band. I plan on picking up a second radio to do the same this weekend.

Jeesh what a shit storm.
I have a generator and if we need it I will bring it.

I'm going to call Ed Begley and see if Bill Nyes can come up and install some photovoltaic panels or maybe they can both bring their bicycles and pedal us some power???

That is the corner worker frequency, you will NOT get your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd calls on that frequency. they have an FM frequency for the infield announcements. the 154.570 will just get you more information on what is going on with the behind the scenes stuff...

From NEAR...
You WILL be allowed to camp from Thursday on. That is the deal that we
had arranged and I just confirmed that with Wanda.
Wanda got a bunch of calls yesterday asking about electric and that is
all good as well. There will be camping and power.

So is there electric in the infield, or just the garages? How all good is all good?
I mean, the infield is still torn up right? That's certainly not all good. Anyone else wish LRRS would just cut all the bullshit and say in plain english what the situation is instead of giving us crap "everything is all good" answers?

I understand what people have said about the money and blah blah blah, but all we have going on is heresay, which fuels rumors, and then we wait until mike or BJ get in touch with someone and crush speculation. I get the Dons emails, but I dont recall any physical updates in them.
Hey, I've got no problem with the work the track is doing. It's a business, they need to make money, yeah it's a pain to not be able to use the infield but that is their call, and I can see how the improvements will benefit us as club racers in the end.
All I'm asking for is, tell us what the situation will be. What sections will be inaccesible, what sections will have power. Or if you don't know, say "I don't know". But don't tell us "it's all good", that's just blowing smoke up our asses.
If I would have known about all this before I would have bought into a spot in the garages when I had the chance (for the 3 whole weekends I will be attending).
Oh well. I will make do.

i just say assume the worst and be prepared. there is the possibility of there not being power in the infield, so if that where you want to be then come prepared...bring a generator.
if youre concerned that there wont be enough power to go around in the garages then bring a generator.
my opinion is if you have a generator then it wont hurt to bring it...just in case.
