Longshot, but anyone need a rider? I'm game for this event!
The Older I Get,
The Faster I Was...
Cathy Smith sez:
"We still do not have the required number of teams for the endurance race in June so I am resending this reminder:
If any teams plan to sign up for the endurance race and plan to give me checks at the May 23rd race, it would be extremely helpful if you could email me your team info including team name and participants. I will be scoring that day and collecting money would be difficult if I have to get all the info at that time. 2016 Big Fish, Small Pond 3ish Hour Endurance Race fees:
$220 early bird (now until May 23rd, collected at the first event)
$245 pre-entry (by June 8th)
$270 post-entry (at the track only)
Please send me an email to nhisday@comcast.net"
Those who can't hang around until Monday can leave their check with me at the Gnome Hospitality Center during the LRRS event.

Did you get enough people for this?
Does anyone need a rider?
Preferably on a hawk? But I'll ride whatever
Yes, as I said before, this event is generally much better attended than the LRRS endurance event. It has even been pretty damned competitive for a few years running. I don't think anyone is looking for riders this late in the game, but I've been wrong before.
Hawk not in play this year. I was invited to ride.

OK, Another W for team Dark Side. It was not a straight forward race. The weather changed every 20 minutes. Jake Vader started us out with a dry session and built a 40 second lead. Then I took over as the rain started spitting and ran a white knuckled session as the rain picked up little by little. When I passed the bike to Shawn Spear, the track was dicey. Painted lines were slick as can be. But we carried on on slicks and Shawn rode an incredible pace continuing to stretch our lead until a red flag came out. We took the chance to swap to rain tires mostly for our safety at this point. Roland Arsenault got an incredible start in the wet and put down some solid laps.
Jake Vader took a wet stint and then I was up again. I took my time getting used to the rain tires at Loudon again, and was starting to do some decent laps when I saw The FZR of Jim Folan and crew pop it's guts into T6. Unfortunately the rider cruised all the way to the pits oiling half the track and ending the race. Thanks to Jeff Vader and my whole team for an awesome time despit the weather.
Nice riding guys!
I do believe you guys lead every single lap in that race. I thought Jim's team was going to overtake you for a moment after one of the rider changes. But the gap opened up after that.
Gino and crew were kickin' it too. Had that race remained dry and the FZR held up, I think it would have been a pretty exciting finish.
Congrats guys!!!!
1 hour and 20 min we were only 15 seconds behind. man you guys were so lucky the first red flag came out to get rains on. At the 2:20 (shutdown) we were only 4 laps behind. it was a fun time.
+1,000,000 wet lines suck. talk about tire movement!
I may have rewritten the rules a Little as i was only pitting within the rules. i can't help it if the bike goes to 16K rpm.![]()

The first time you rode past the scoring booth on pit-in half the room screamed "whoaaaaaa!". I heard several mutters of "that's too fast!". One was sure you would get a penalty for that.
From where I sat it looked entirely within the rules. You weren't even anywhere near the stop box yet.
