I got word this afternoon that Carl McAllister passed today. Carl raced with LRRS for several years and was a fixture at the racetrack for a long time. He was a good friend to many of us and was always one to add a little laughter to any situation. He helped me personally with my racing for several seasons both at LRRS events and traveling around the country, and is a person who I can count among my closest friends. We shared many good times....more than I can recount.
Carl took over the track day school run by George DeCamp for several years and put on events for fellow enthusiasts for several seasons. This was never much of a profit center, more just a labor of love. He enjoyed spending time at the track perhaps as much as anything else in his life. His father introduced him to motorcycles at a young age and this passion for our sport stuck with him throughout his life. I was very happy to be able to dedicate my Loudon Classic race win to him....it was perhaps the most meaningful thing that I could think to do, and gave me extra strength to work very hard to do all I could to succeed in that effort.
Carl was always unabashedly himself, never pretending to be anything he was not and always making an effort to be friends will all. His professional life was that of a photographer, and we was always willing to share his talents with anyone he could (some of us saw more than we even wanted....lol). Above all, Carl was an honest man and true to himself in anything he did. He was fiercely faithful to those that he cared about, and this included everyone from his friends at the track to his wife Aida, who made him very happy in the past few years. God Speed my friend, you will be sorely missed but remembered fondly forever.

Thoughts & prayers to friends & family. I can't remember if we ever crossed paths...
EDIT: I just realized who he is. He's even made a brief stop at Stonnerstock years & years ago. Wow! May I ask what happened?
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?

Rip Carl. One of the good guys.
He was sick for a while and bravely fought with no complaints.

A very sad day.

RIP A.B. RIP BEET, I Ride in Leathers because I would rather sweat than Bleed...
So sorry to hear this. RIP Carl.
the only normal people are the ones you don't know very well.
I am very saddened to hear this. I met Carl over 13 years ago at a Hawk racing day and he was one of the people that taught me how to go fast. His joy for motorcycling was unquestionable and never wavered. He was always pleasant and would help anyone that needed it. LAPS and Carl even joined forces for a couple of track days just to help each other out, even though we were supposed to be "competitors", as other people put it. He never cared it was always about giving back and I admired that about him.
The motorcycling world has lost a good friend. I'll go for a ride for you Carl, then toast a glass.
God speed, rest in peace old friend!!!

I had the pleasure to meet Carl on a few occasions at Loudon and a couple of other places. As others have mentioned he was always willing to lend a hand or a helpful comment to anyone who needed it. I am saddend to hear of Carl's passing.
RIP Carl!
had the pleasure to walk loudon with him turn by turn. Carl's knowledge of that track is unlike any other. he knows every crack & pebble on that track as if examining each turn with a microscope.
RIP Carl McAllister
Wow, I'm speachless. Truely sad news.
Carl and I had become friends over the last 10 years or so, and I cannot remember him without a smile on his face.
I think Eric said it best: "...God Speed my friend, you will be sorely missed but remembered fondly forever."
Ride on, Carl.

Carl you will be greatly missed. I will never forget the time you yelled "Russian camel toe!" and pointed in my direction while I was trying to change out of my leathers discreetly in the corner of the garage. I will remember all of your dirty old man jokes fondly =) You were just an amazing, good, kind, fun person. RIP.
Slowly and predictably... slowly and predictably!!!
Oh no! Lauren's first and only track ride was a two up ride with him. He will be missed.
RIP
RIP
Carl was a good man.
