Like many others here, I had the pleasure of meeting Carl at a few trackdays. Enjoyed lectures from him about every little crack and bump in the pavement around the track. I guess he followed me during a session, and then sat with me during the lunch hour and helped me "see" the T3 braking zone...after telling me how "soft" I was on the brakes. Good, knowledgeable guy with a good sense of humor. Sad to hear he won't be there for my next track day.
RIP Carl.
Rip it up there Carl.
Great guy and fun to talk with.

RIP Carl... I'm fortunate I got a chance to participate in a track day with him a few years back and still remember some useful tips he had for us on the track walk. I didn't know him well, but he always showed lots of enthusiasm at the track and was always eager to help out newbies.

RIP Carl, the few times I met you were memorable. You truly seemed to be one of the good eggs out there and the world needs a lot more like that.

I met Carl when I was looking for someone to bring my bike down to Daytona. I was originally gonna fly both ways, but I ended up driving down with him and sharing a hotel for 5 days, he also stayed for the following bike week. It was a great time, Carl became a good friend and it was a gift to have had the chance to get to know him.
Sad news indeed. I've met Carl many times up at Loudon, He was definitely one of the real good guy's.
RIP Carl
GodSpeed to all his family and friends
Anyone have any idea what the cause of his death was?
I know he was 'sick" for a while - but I have no idea what the illness was.
Any info would be great.
Thx

Ride the wind Carl.
I met Carl at the CT bike expo in 2010. He got me thinking about sportbikes again after I had given up street riding for cruising a number of years ago. It was because of him that I got my BMW s1000RR from Gengras when he was working there. The fever took me after that and now I am riding at all the TTDs this year. This is really sad news.
So long Carl. Godspeed brother. We will be missed.
RIP Carl
I still love the smell of burnt racing fuel in the morning!
I expect to be able to post information on services for Carl in the next week or so. They will be held in CT, somewhere north of Hartford.....more details coming soon.
Thoughts and prayers to the friends and family...

RIP Carl.
Rest In Peace, Carl.
That photo I took of him waving at me as he had a knee down in 1A is iconic Carl. For the years that I took photos at track days and races, Carl was never critical. He offered a few words of advice about good spots to shoot from, for which I was grateful, and he bought my photos of him as he knew how important that was being a pro photographer himself. He knew I would have given him every picture for free, but he wouldn't have it. To have my photos on his website was an honor I didn't take lightly.
Great guy, often imitated but never duplicated.

Just saw this. He was a good man. And his last few months seemed wonderful. He was deeply in love with his beautiful wife and well appreciated by all who know him.
Here's hoping all who are close to him find comfort in whatever belief sustains them...
