Everyone else is, guess I might as well make a quick report.
Long story short, it turns out the front end of my R6 was bent for the past two months after a crash... I thought it was all in my head and have been beating myself up about it and not having fun up there. I let a couple other people take it for a spin at the track day and they were like holy shit this bike is fucked! lol. Was able to get it straightened out at the track Friday (thanks GMD) and get a couple short practice sessions on it.
Two races on saturday, wet track in the morning so no practice since I knew the races would be dry. My brakes/front end/cornerspeed confidence still aren't there but are slowly coming back. It's still in my head and I just need some more seat/practice time to get there. I know I can do it. Ran a lot of low 23's... pretty sad. I know I can get the teens but trying to force it seems to make things worse.
Saturday
Race 1 GTO: 3rd place
Race 4 MWSB: 9th place
Sunday I raced the new motard and did well... there are two distinct packs in the amateur ranks and I'm right in the middle; towards the end of both my races I was literally by myself. With a little more practice I know I can hang with the front guys, I just need to be better on the brakes and add a little cornerspeed in the right handers.
I did get into the 24s on the tard and had a couple fun battles in the first several laps of both races but in the end couldn't quite hang.
Sunday
Race 2 motard: 6th / 12
Race 5 LWSM: 6th / 13
Also that 15 y.o. red bull rookie kid on the kawi running 19s and 20s knocked all of us AMs finishing spots down a notch for this weekend. Jesus he is fastI guess he technically isn't old enough to have an expert license or something like that a13x told me...
The fact that I am only 1.5 seconds off my R6 pace on the tard certainly speaks volumes about my lack of confidence and comfort on the big bike. I really want to fix that but it seems the harder I try, the worse it gets. I'll get back there, I just need to relax and have fun.

Good read dude. I had no idea you were having issues on the R6, crazy you are that close to your times on the tard! I saw you out there raicng the tard, you looked good fighting to hold Seth off. LWSM I think?
That would be the motard race... My first time launching the tard and I got a bad start... Seth got a KILLER start and passed almost everyone on the launch, I was like holy shit! Took two laps I think for me to get him... that little bugger
But again by the end of that one I was alone... I gotta grab a tow from those front guys, they've got a second on me

O and ya the youngin on the Kawi is nuts haha. I got a great start from row 3, he was back on row 4 and passed me by turn 3 on the first lap.
Was talking to him with Cavanaugh before race and he mentioned he didn't want to bump right away because he was running 18s on his sv and wanted to be faster in that class...F!! haha

Nice job man ... keep it up.
Its not as easy as one might think to break into the teens. Its the first barrier to get through. Once you figure that out you should see the times drop pretty quickly until the 16s ... then thats another barrier ... ask me how I know (=
I can't imagine trying to focus on racing two different bikes when just first starting out, so I give you a lot of credit.

Hahaha... The youngin on the tard is Richie Alexander's nephew... If you know that name, you know why the little bastard is so fast.

That's one of my tactics... nice tight leathers...
Thanks Jamie... I know when I was doing consistent 21's I didn't feel like I was trying too terribly hard... I know I have it in me.
As far as the 2 bikes... A lot of people say that, but honestly I really haven't had trouble with it. I have missed one shift (tard is standard r6 is GP) but that's the worst of it. After a lap or two I'm all set on either. From the tard to the r6 is the tougher transition. I practiced going back and forth one after the other to get used to it at the track day and on friday practice. I just have two sets of markers in my head
You want to switch grid spots next time? I'll just pass you into 1
Scottie: lucky at poker, bad in turn 9
No worries buddy... a lot of ups and downs for you this weekend. Crashing sucks but you're getting faster, it'll happen. You're flyin... I gotta come catch you clowns

I've seen people log on to the internet and immediately get stupider. What does that suggest, I wonder?
