so i have 3 questions for you johnny b
1) how many gnomes are your collection currently
2) how many do you put out every weekend]
3) what kind of setup time does this require

"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both."-Benjamin Franklin
1.) About 55-60 in the collection now.
2.) At a normal event, I put out about 20-30 of them. About 20 of them not suitable for the pit wall. (Too small or fragile.) I cool it a little for Penguin and the Classic, go all out for vintage.
3.) About 5 minutes to unpack them at the beginning of an event and to repack at the end of an event. It takes me about 20-30 minutes altogether to set up my station on Friday evening with the EZ UP, ballast buckets, chairs, getting the fence for the chicane and setting the cones after Penguin.

Thank you to Jen and Alex for the cool "Chillin' with my Gnomies" hat. Also to Wanda, who while cleaning out her old office, came across the appreciation plaque that Nick (The "Rolling Gnome") never collected at the banquet after he retired as the Starter in 2006. Still waiting for Doc Lamire's answer to the Marine gnome, plus Gary Elkins of Gastonia, NC is planning to send me a N.Y. Yankees gnome.
I was a little low key on Saturday, but after Tom Blanchette saw the little guys and heard my explanation, he liked them and I added some more on Sunday.

The two latest donations from Adam Clark and Heath Smith:
This fat bastard weighs in at 51.5 pounds!
And this little number, who I decided to put to work. Thanks to Lynne and Lori for the tip signs.
Also, my #1 Gnome supporter, Barbara Ann Wood, gave me this one for my birthday. To date she has given me seven gnomes!
I was talking to Big Mike, owner of Vanson Leathers, down at Barber last week. He told me to send pics and some copy about "Nick". Watch for him at the Vanson website real soon!

One other thing while this thread is out of hibernation, I am looking for the elusive Cheeseburger Eating Gnome.
It seems that the only place that sells them is in Great Britain. Linky. Westfalia won't ship to the United States
unless the order is at least £150, so I've been trying to find a contact over there that could get one and send
it to me. I've got two feelers out so far, but no answer.
Anybody?
